I don’t own a white bass but I do own a white guitar. I like the snow white if it’s on the right bass, but I love the white aging to cream on pretty much every bass. And I love the pearloid on the OP’s bass. In most things I’m not into flash but I’m a sucker for old Mother of Toiletseat pick guards and trim

Depends on the bass, I guess. For instance; I would love to have one of these;
Gretsch White Falcon Bass.png gold , sparkly bling, and all. But, sadly, no leftys, after years of looking. However, I do have one white bass;
MVC-001S.JPG this '06 Carvin LB20. The Lexus White Metallic finish wouldn't have been my choice, but I have to admit that, in the 9 or so years I've owned it, this finish has grown on me. But, other than the Gretsch, I don't think I'd really want another white bass, just because it was white. But, if it was exactly what I wanted, otherwise? I wouldn't turn it down...:cool:

I see other people playing one and it looks ok with them but I'm more cozy with sunburst, candy apple red, or better a bit darker red with a black or better black tortoise pick guard. I also would like to have a mirror near the bridge so I can occasionally look at myself and think wow !
Seriously though I think a few or even a whole bunch of 1 inch round stick on mirrors might have a likeable interaction with the lights. A bunch of rays would bounce off of it.

I love white instruments. White with a single ply white guard, a dark tort guard, a single ply black guard, a real nitrate guard (not modern "mint" recreations), classic anodized aluminum gold guard, three ply or five ply black, all look great. The only guards I don't really dig on white instruments are multi ply white ones.

As far as white ones go, I have:

'76 Musicmaster Bass – yellowed white w/ three ply white guard
'85 MIJ Strat - cream white w/ three ply black guard (not stock guard)
AV '58 P - blonde w/ gold anodized aluminum
AV '64 J - Oly White w/ dark tort
AV '64 Tele - blonde w/ three ply white
Jimmy Page Mirror Tele - blonde w/ single ply white

And I am building a '55 hardtail Strat repro at the moment too, which will be painted the same white color as the single ply white guard.

Don’t know why.

I don’t care for white or black.

Red I could do.

I like blue a lot.

Natural with a good wood grain is nice.

Three tobacco sunburst is my all time favorite on a Jazz Bass.

Oh! And I don’t like green, yellow, orange or swirl.

I know I’m boring.
