the poll choices are up the wazoo. "Sometimes" is far less descriptive of my indicator habits than ''always''. I ''NEARLY always" use my indicators but occasionally I don't need to.

I was thinking about this thread this morning when I encountered someone who switched lanes in front of me without signaling. I think they were so far in front of me that they must have thought I wouldn't care. But it bothered me a little...maybe because I'm not a morning person, so I'm a little more stressed. I realized driving home that I'm in a better mood (going home) and it just doesn't bother me.
But I remember the high percentage of conscientious drivers in this thread (according to poll) and it made me feel better. Thanks TB.

Today some dude was in my way in the passing lane, I was about to turn left & needed to get in that lane. I slowed to get behind him & he drifted into the right lane w/o any indication at all & I was directly behind him!
What bugs me as well is why everyone feels inclined to drive in the passing lane even when they clearly didn't need to be.

Another story:

I just had a moment with this. I was driving home this evening and had pulled off the freeway onto the access road. On my right was a guy in a faster car. He was patiently waiting for me to pass so he could get on the entrance ramp, of which there was sufficient time for. But then he sped up and went in front of me, since I was too slow. The only thing is that he (sadly) didn't use his blinker. So I gave him a quick shine from my headlights, out of friendly warning to follow the law. It was weird, because that doesn't always feel friendly to do. He was cool, didn't cut in front of me, was just being conscientious because he could have been a busy person. (I respect people who lead busy lives, rather than just being impatient.) But I think in the back of my mind I was thinking about Talkbass. I definitely didn't do it as a last minute reaction. I was thinking and processing what I *should* do in principle, as a result of this Talkbass thread.
I think you guys would have been proud.

Don't know how many times per trip I say...quite loudly...even though I'm the only one in the vehicle...GET THE F&$K OUT OF THE FAST LANE!^

There should be a law, where, when someone pulls a stupid/dangerous move and then you see they are on their phone, you can legally run them into the ditch.

That was the case yet again over the weekend, some lady on her phone turned at a light with me & then cut me off inexplicably.
Her phone never left her face, she had time for that, but no time for signaling her intentions.

She was probably busy talking to her lawyer about her case involving leaving her kids in the hot car. (But she never leaves her phone anywhere)

After I got pulled over by a cop for not using my signal for a right turn..............YES!!!!!!! Use 'em all the time now. Thankfully, I was given a warning.

I have to admit I normally get mad at slow drivers in the left lane. But as I was driving home today and going kind of slow myself (in the right lane), I noticed a driver doing it. But I actually appreciated what he was doing. He was keeping all the idiotic speeders behind him in check. It just made sense.
