Dumb CL Ad's pt 5, Dumbester and Dumberest

River rock is about 2 tons per yard and it takes about 40 full buckets to move a yard. Realistically you a can only carry 50-75 pounds in a bucket without it breaking so you can't fill them all the way up. My best guess is you would have to move 300-400 buckets to move the rock, plus unload your pickup truck 25 or 30 times. That is a rough day at the office....

Yeah, but it's FREE!!!

weird how this guy hasn't found the right band...

I'm a 20 year old guitarist/activist/health guru(ask me about it) seeking like-minded people to form a band with. I'm not afraid to speak the truth and in fact I refuse to lie to my brothers. I don't give a **** about what the average, modern audience expects.... they won't ever get it from me. No experience gigging because I was never able to find the right band for me. I could've been a bassist or a boring rhythm guitarist in a gigging band a while ago if I wanted to. It's not much different from doing repetitive, meaningless homework; I can do it, but it's so degrading.
I like mostly older music such as delta blues, blues revival, punk, funk, acid rock/psychedelic rock, hard rock, classical, reggae, folk music, even some metal and rap, too. Just nothing trendy is all.

Negative feedback is welcome. I love to hear the masses whine because someone thinks differently from them. Certainly modern society is flawless, lol.

Namaste, peace, salutations and all of that good stuff.

It seems like half the people on craigslist are like this guy whether the admit it or not. Basically someone who likes music and likes the idea of being in a band but has never practiced or dedicated themselves to do what it takes to be a musician. They say they want something new but don't really have a plan or an idea on what that is.

Sadly, every few years a band like this makes it big, and fuels this idea of not really having to work hard to play good music. They have a built in fan base of all these wanna be musicians who see this as more justification to be mediocre.

This has got to be the poopiest town for finding original, like minded musicians to play with. 40 something year olds wanting to form cover bands that play papa roach and three days grace and ****. Come the **** on. As Bill Hicks said... PLAY FROM YOUR 8888ING HEART. I'm 27 and I want to play ORIGINAL music. I know the scene here sucks ass for local music. I know it first hand. Doesn't mean I'm gonna throw in the towel or resort to playing modern rock hits that everybody wants to hear so I can play pretend rock star once every other weekend. I'm a guitarist looking for other musicians that feel the same way i do. I know guitar players around here are a dime a dozen but if you feel the same way I do and want to do something about it then get back to me. I'm sick of 88888ng around with people who ******** too so don't respond unless your for real. I need a drummer, bassist and singer. I'm NOT into deathcore or grindcore, electronica, indie ****, country, or cover bands. I'm down for playing any kind of rock music, minus the over processed annoying **** on radio. I've been playing guitar for 13 years and I'll jam with just about anybody so hit me up!

This is not a "dumb craiglist" ad but you will certainly earn your money if you get the gig.
You have 2 weeks to learn 4 sets and you have to sing every single song...OK, Sting, ya got that?

Anyone out there that doesn't SUCK?? (Lancaster PA)
QUESTION: Is there anyone in Lancaster that:
a) doesn't ****ing suck as a musician? "...hey guys come jam in my mom's basement, I got a squier and a peavy and these de-tuned ****** drums i can play really loud"
b) isn't a total ****ing loser ..(has a job)
c) isn't an alcoholic/pot-head/dope-fiend or chain-smoking "artist"
d) isn't a ****ing Christian "faith in jesus is a requirement to joining our band"
e) isn't all "xxxprog metal corexxx" or a screamolester mall goth
f) isn't trying to be in a "pop-punk" band... come on guys, its not the early "00's" anymore
g) isn't a god-damn pretentious "folk" "americana" hipster (that eliminates like 75% of you)
h) isn't trying to be ****ing Bob Marley, Sublime or Incubus (no offense to any of them) ..ahem... Puff n Stuff crowd...
i) isn't trying to be some bluesy John Mayer ******* with a jacked up navajo haircut
j) is opposed to using "old timey" style microphones
k) doesn't cover Oasis, Staind or Matchbox 20 (terribly) at open mics
l) isn't some macho hard rock nu-metal d-bag with dreads and jnco jeans who's also a juggalo
m) is actually somewhat intelligent and has maybe read a book or two
n) can sing and play either drums/bass/guitar/keys
o) in their 20's
p-z) wants to work with a band whose members are ACTUALLY TALENTED, very creative singers, writers and multi-instrumentalists with gear, ready to gig and boatloads of original material, as well as covers.

Sound interesting? Think you don't suck? Prove it and send me something worth listening to / watching. We have two paying gigs coming up this month and it would be cool to find another member who wants to be part of an original, fun rock n roll/indie rock band with a very diverse and original sound.
