I'm lovin' the nickels! Question though...still haven't tried the ss ones. Are they brighter than the nickels? Are they similar tension wise?

Carey Nordstrand is shipping them on his basses.
I really like the sound of mine but either need to tune up (I am at C) or get some bigger strings. The C (what you bonified folks would call an E) is just a bit too floppy on some songs. I didnt have this problem with the DRs I was using previously.
Maybe I will retreat to the saftey of D?
Well, a 5 string set always costs more than the one extra string justifies. Also, I dont like how B strings feel in general. Thats why I go for C.Buy a 5-string set. Use the low B for your C... put the high G aside.

I like how the other 3 strings feel for tension. Quite a bit "slinky".
but the c is just too floppy for some of the parts I have to play.
I can pull them off but its less than ideal.
Anybody know if these are still being sold in 2 packs at GC? Might be worth a drive into town.
I picked up a jazz, played it for two days straight till my fingers hurt (used to flats). I threw on a set of GHS Precision Flats and found it lost a lot of that jazz burp and zing. Looking for a more comfortable set of rounds, sounds like these are worth a try.

I've been using them for a good while now and have never noticed that. Got a photo?Has anyone else noticed the windings on the Nickels are a little bit gappy?
Think I should email Dunlop? I'm actually a bit annoyed as Dunlop rave about the quality of their strings and they'll let something like this slip out?
