Wow...never saw that before. I'd email them. I have nothing but love for the strings. I'm sure they will make it right.

Here's the worst spot, here you can see it's clearly not wound tight enough (I put this string back in the pack and used another set (bought 4))

And if you look closely you can see 4 more apparent lines about equal distance from each other, very hard to see but look for more black than usual.

Think I should email Dunlop? I'm actually a bit annoyed as Dunlop rave about the quality of their strings and they'll let something like this slip out?
i made the mistake of trying the 45-105 stainless steel dunlops on my marcus miller jazz bass and they were just awful. there was no twang or zing. there was some punch but overall they were way dead compared to the dr strings i normally use. i dont see what all the hype is about dunlop strings.

Has anyone else noticed the windings on the Nickels are a little bit gappy? If you glance across the string, mainly lower, thicker strings, you can see very small gaps where the windings aren't perfectly together. Noticed this on 2 sets so far. The strings sound and feel okay.
Thought that was just me. I did notice on mine. I just said whatever, but if its an issue, hmmmm.
I guess it's a matter of taste. I don't want super zingy strings. Though, they sound good when they first go on. The Dunlop's keep just enough brightness for me, after break in. I would describe them as a very full sounding string. To me, they sound like a bass should sound. How different the Expiriences are... I´ve tried them one/two Times and I didn´t like them. They sounded good when they´re fresh, but they were dead very fast.
