Eden Amps No More?

Wouldn’t it be a hoot if Nordschow bought it back?

I still think a WT400 preamp made with small surface mount new electronics paired with an 800W Class D amp would sell. It took Mesa 10 years to bring us a lighter more powerful Walkabout and that WD-800 is a winner!

I can't believe the daft folks at Marshall didn't see that. Even DNA doesn't offer anything along those lines.

I have 2 Eden Combos, a 115 Nemesis, and a E series 210. Each 320 watts. When slaved, it’s a formidable rig.

I had heard someone on here mention the brand was being wrapped up and that seems to have come to fruition. The Marshall website no longer has Eden listed as a brand. Bummer as they had a nice sound and I enjoy my TN226 and cab.

Response from Eden Electronics:

Apologies for the delay. Thank you for the kind words!

Yes indeed, we are working to provide availability of our full range to all territories - this of course includes the US market at its center! We are also working on a new site currently - we will let you know on here as soon as we launch.

Great to hear you're active on TalkBass, too!

Thank you again for your message, as always, if there's anything we can help with, please feel free to drop us a line.

Many thanks!

I wonder if that means they’ll put up a new Eden forum for @Rip Van Dan & @Bassmann1968 to do their thang on?

Man that's good news. I saw they were no longer on the Marshall/Eden site and the edenamps.net site was gone too. Will be real pleased to see their new site when they have it ready. I wouldn't hold my breath on the forum though. Didn't make sense for them to close it and I'll be surprised if they open it back up. Would be great if they did and Armin and I were moderators there again though!

DNA has an 800-watt class D amp (DNA-800) but it doesn't have the semi-paramtrics in its EQ section. Bass is a shelving EQ at 35 Hz, low-mid is centered at 500Hz, High-mid is at 2KHz, and Treble is shelving EQ for everything above that. It has that nice mute button (tune jack is still active), a really sweet compressor that has adjustable threshold and ratio, and a shape button that is a lot more usable (more granularity) than the Enhance ones he put on the Eden amps. I finally received mine day before yesterday and it's pretty sweet. Can't really play it at volume here at home, but did play around with it for a bit yesterday. The compressor light that comes on when the compressor is doing it's thing is purple! Really need to go get loud with it!
