Thank you!!!:):thumbsup: Here’s my new Epiphone Viola! Love it!

I am a member of the Epi Rumblekat Club. Might as well do the whole shebang and join the Epiphone Club as well. Here's a pic of my Rumblekat, with replacement bridge (Hipshot). Also replaced the tuning machines with Hipshot Ultra-Lites.
How's it hangin'?... that is: there seemed to be a magnet in the headpiece on mine... pulling it to the ground. Balancing the neck AND moving my left hand to play created more frustration than joy... I now own a 20 year old "Viola" with tape wounds... joy.

My Rumblekat has a slight bit of neck dive, but not enough to cause problems. Much less than other basses I've owned (my old Fender Jazz comes to mind -- its headstock kept wanting to make out with the floor). On my Rumblekat, perhaps it's a combination of putting the lighter-weight tuners on, and the fact that because of the fairly wide depth of the body, my right arm is hanging on the body while I play. These things together may prevent serious neck dive.
No neck dive with your Viola?

Way to go with the Nylons on your Viola. I had D'Addario ETB92 series Nylons on the Viola I had.

Nope... I had to add like 6 oz. of weight to the rear strap button to balance it out... I thought about lightening the top end... but decided to sell instead... worked for me. Sounds about the same (not the same coolness factor), but feels/fits so much better... (& I got that same "arm rest" configuration in this model)

So I bought this beast (the black one) a few years back, got it at a really good price and started swapping the chromed parts for gold plate because I always thought a black guitar looked sexy with gold hardware. Three years ago we were robbed, and I couldn't find it or a couple other guitars (and a whole pile of other stuff). Last week I was looking in a different closet-- and there it is. It must have gotten moved around not long before the robbery. So now I have a spare Epiphone Jack Casady Model, and didn't get a lot of work and money boosted (well, plenty to go around on that one, they got my Rickenbacker 620 and a nice Strat and a bunch of other crap even more valuable)--

ETA: Forgot to mention how much I'm digging the Babicz cam bridge, works really well on the three-stud setup, now I want one on my P-Bass-- first rate kit

Very nice! Two cool Epi's. That black and gold one does look classy. Are those black tapewound strings on it?

Yes, Rotosound RS55s-- the blue one (which also has a bit of a story) is running the Dean Markley Blue Steels that Mr Casady likes, and I see why, bright and brash and a lot of fun to play-- some day I might put them on the black one too, but the damn Rotos never seem to wear out, have a set on my fretless Jazz that must be ten years old now and just need a wipe down now and then

I have one of the long-set-neck EB3s also but I don't seem to be able to find a photo of it-- will post when I do

Looks great! Regarding the bridge, what happens to the 3rd center hole with the Hipshot? I have a Jack Casady I was thinking about upgrading with the Hipshot.
