Yes yes, very old thread, but does anybody know where I can get a Rickenbacker copy? Or are all of those Ricks? Either way, it's an impressive collection.

hrmm... just so you know ive measured the neck plate of a standard fender jazz and compared it to the SX's Jazz neck plate with the 4 bolt pattern... The spacing is close but its not exactly the same. the SX is slightly longer by probably less than a mm. but width is the same i believe.

This is a dilemma. Should I use a custom fender spec neck on an SX... its tempting... but after i drill its gonna be permanent...

When I have time (maybe tomorrow) i'll go back through the thread and get the names of the people. (However, you'd still have to go back and look to see the bass).

As for the Rick question (that was not even intended for me), those are all real ricks. Unless all the necks are real on fake bodies.

I do agree on getting more soundclips. If anyone wants to add one, just edit your post, dont post again.

You can still post basses this month for voting next month. Do you guys think i should so a 'continued' thread fo those so this one doesnt get too big?

And does anyone know what happened to the TB homepage? You cant see any threads from it. What is the significance of bumping now?

I think you should post a new "Essex Bass Competition!" thread every month, and end the thread with a picture of the winning bass, just to keep things entertaining but organized.

My dilemna there is that during one months voting, the next months basses are being posted. This would get very confusing. For example, if i did a new one this month, people would have to look at the basses here, and vote in the new thread. Then some people would vote in the wrong thread and it would become a big hassle.
