Essex Bass Competition!

Nuthin' special on my new SX SJB-62 4+1. I tweeked it here & there, cleaned up the frets, set the action, set the neck, chrome knobs, DR strings & slapped a chrome diamond plate guard on it. Very impressive for $129.95. I'll soon be installing some Bartolini's & new machines.Cast your vote if you like....I just wanted it share it with all the TBer's.

Good afternoon for all.

I hope it is not too late to take part the competition.

I have a SJB 75 manufactured in 2001.

These are pictures from it being original.

It is different from the models sold in Rondo Music; it contains a headstock equal to that one from Fender.

Currently, it has 2 Fender 62 Reissue Jazz Bass Pickups (Made in USA), Badass II bridge and Gotoh tuners (70’s Style).

As soon as I take new pictures from it I will post them here.

Okay - finally finished this bad boy (Traded out the white pickguard for a black one to finish it off).

Here are my mods:

- Replaced the stock tuners with Gotoh Light tuners
- Replaced the bridge with a Gotoh 201
- Replaced the pots (which were almost unusable) with 250k CTS pots and cloth-covered wiring
- Replaced pickups with Fender 60s re-issue pickups
- Replaced output jack with Switchcraft
- Replaced the scratch plate with one which fit the pots
- Replaced the knobs with chrome ones
- Replaced the white pickguard with a black one
- shielded the cavity and the pickguard

I then set up the intonation and adjusted the neck relief. She's all done!
