prior to me joining my band mates have played with The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza, Haste The Day, Emmure, and a few more I'm forgetting
The one that got away because the band could not be gathered: MGMT's Seoul show two years back. I never thought I'd have had an opening opportunity like that handed to me on a platter and then been totally unable to accept because the guitarists were out of country and couldn't be retrieved in time. I try not to think about it.
But.. then I read the reviews of the band that did open, and I think, "Well, suppose we did play, and we were awful...."
So, who knows. But I'll be damned if that's the biggest opportunity I get as far as music goes.

This is a fun thread that I remember seeing a few months ago and lost it! Here are a few that I've had the honor of opening for.
Stone Temple Pilots (best day of my life- possibly Scott Weiland's too)
Every Avenue (lmao- on the last stage elvis played on)
Rev. Peytons Big Damn Band (I was their bass player until they decided not to have one altogether.. sorry guys)
Chevelle (by accident due to poor promotion at one venue in louisville and a radio station really needing an opener. I was 15)

Recently stood in on a session with John Hiatt and got to jam for a few..
I was fortunate enough to play for Tommy Talton and Scott Boyer of the band "Cowboy".
They were our featured artist at the theater where I play with the house band. We backed them on five songs. A gig I will always cherish.
They were super nice. I really enjoyed listening to them talk about their careers at the after-party.

and before Guttermouth was Guttermouth I was in a band called Republic. We disbanded and 3 members moved to HB where Guttermouth eventually took off, I tried and badly failed a try out with a well known speed metal band.
Oh and a funny story is when opening up for DRI, had to barrow their bass. The bassist at that time said do not break me E string, bam broke the E string.
