Here's another toy I used to be crazy about when I was a kid.

I loved table top hockey games. So much in fact, last Christmas I saw the last one at Wal-Mart for only $75 and I bought it immediately. (It's a self-standing hockey table.) It's fun to play and to watch friends play. Everyone wants to try it when they visit.

I had the orange van, Petty's Charger...

We had the one car that glowed in the dark. And the track that would connect with HO trains!

The hop up kit???? I honestly don't think I ever had one. Maybe my dad or brother though..

Legos were somewhat expensive. I had a few, not much. There were a few times when I would visit other kids with Legos and had a blast.

Um... 35 better for ya? hahah!

Hey if it was 10 years my memory would be a whole lot better but from what I remember AFX was by Aurora and the slot pins were double ended with a round spikey pin on one side and the wide paddle shaped pin as shown on your trucks on the opposite end. Also seems like the tires were kind of an open textured foam rubber with more rounded corners. Looks like you may be current on the collector scene, I bet you know when they were like that. Seems like I had a really cool orange 57 Chevy but the body popped off way too easy. And the little locking tabs really liked to snap off when taking the tracks apart. DOH!!!

Are generic/non-kit/StarWars-etc-branded LEGO sets even available anymore? The best thing ever was dumping that big box of LEGOs out on the floor and building whatever I came up with.

well I'm not up on any collector scene, but I do remember the toys.

My dad has a cool S gauge ( American Flyer) collection.

Sometimes, I see news stories on TV about someone who retired and has taken up a hobby with miniature train sets, etc.

When I eventually retire, I think I may track down the 1985 GI Joe USS Flagg (and try not to get gouged for it.) Ugh... People selling that on eBay for $1000+ these days.

But I did have....jeese....all the cool Cobra stuff. I never sent in the points to get the hooded cobra commander though...

There was a hotwheels set that you could actually make your own...the thing would make molds of bodies. But I can't find a piccie..
