Seems like they could have come up with something more interesting.
These look great. I love the color. Price is very good. And I like that they finished painting it instead of forgetting to paint the headstock. Very cool. I have a 2021 P on order already but I’m looking at this J. Not that I need more basses. But I do.
I would prefer a Telecaster model . That is more vintage to me.
I like the color options. I'm on the fence about gold but wouldn't be a deal breaker.
I'm laughing in my head because if I gave my wife the Exact Same Thing in a different color every anniversary she would recognize the pattern after a while. Wait a year and get the 76th anniversary P bass or J bass if you want a different color.

70' style tuners with spaghetti script stamp, modern bridge, modern neck heel, and that dumb looking modern trimmed down headstock. The big headstock on older models I always thought was part of their Basses appeal.
Why doesn't Fender make anniversary model era correct anymore?

I thought first year Fender Precision was 1951? So wouldn't it be 70th Anniversary?
1946 is when Leo Fender started his company.

I like a matching headstock, but only with a colour a little bolder. That grey is almost too neutral for my preferences for a matching headstock.
I do really like that MIA Jazz though. I think the P would look better with a rosewood fretboard instead.

I guess if I was a collector, maybe I'd be excited. Using the same finish for the 4 main models is a nice touch. Otherwise, a bit meh.
