Fender Rumble Club

Although I am a dedicated bass player, I am also a one man band. The versatile Rumble 100 is my bass amp of choice when I play like this.

If anyone is interested, here's how I do it: An Ultra Luxe Telecaster goes into a Radial Twin City splitter which send one signal to the guitar pedals and on to the Fender Deluxe Blonde Tone Master. The other signal is sent to a JHS Whitey Tighty Compressor>Boss OC5 Octave Pedal>Dr. J Sparrow Bass Preamp>Rumble 100. It comes out as a very convincing bass. The DI output on both amps are also run through the Bose T1 Mixer and into one of two Bose systems depending on how big a room I play. When I play live, there are vocals, guitar, bass, drums, and sometimes harmonica. NO prerecorded material, ever. The Rumble 100 is a huge part of what I do.

No looper pedal. I remember when a local band that I play bass with sometimes came in and heard me play. One of the guys said, "not bad for karaoke." The leader of the band was quick to explain to him that everything he was hearing, I was actually playing. I'm sure some people probably think I'm using backing tracks sometimes.

For a "dedicated bass player", I would suspect that you're probably none too shabby on finger picking the 6-string, right? Would LOVE to see some of that!

Thank you! Mostly I use a pick on guitar and bass. On bass I use my fingers or thumb only about 25% of the time.
