Excuse me for getting my Hughes mixed up. Bill Hughes is the engineer, and Glenn Hughes is a bass player.

What kind of cover is that? Very sharpGood afternoon, Happy Friday Rumblers! Just finished reading through this whole thread, whew! All caught up, anyhow thanks for all the valuable info here. I purchased a Rumble v3 200c, a few weeks ago (awesome tones), I was in the market for a good sounding light weight combo and this did the trick , love the classic looks! I've already gigged her a few times really diggin' it! Here's some pics, amp cover came in this week. View attachment 841069 View attachment 841070 View attachment 841071 View attachment 841072

They are geniuses that changed the market;affordable gear at reasonable prices, sounds good, looks good, and dependable, what a team. Oh and lightweight of course!and I've just been informed that it was Bruce Zinky that designed the Rumble Bass with a Bill Hughes power section. Bill was head of Fender R&D at the time.
That was just for the original 1994 (I think) Fender Custom Shop Rumble Bass. Dave Lewis has been involved in Rumble design from the very beginning in 2003 of the solid state Rumbles. He is now Principal Engineer and is responsible for the sweeping changes of the V3 Rumbles. He and his team also designed Fender's Bassman Pro line. He is also a bass player. They are geniuses that changed the market;affordable gear at reasonable prices, sounds good, looks good, and dependable, what a team. Oh and lightweight of course!
Oh yeah I remember that. It's your equipment - do what you want.Ha! Found a post describing doing a mod to the Rumbles to split the amp and speaker.
@Linnin you are in the thread.

Now I need a 500 Rumble head.
Apparently the handle placement is slightly different. I believe the r500c handle is more centered, I remember reading this, in this thread a while back. Maybe someone can chime in that can verify this. Linnin ?200c cover would be the same anyway, no?

OK that's an MDB cover, that everyone that has one likes. Here is a cover for the Rumble 200. Different builder and different material. I really need to get one also since I haul my 200 quite a bit.

I like green too! Especially British Racing Green.Figured since its Rumble related I'd share with the group what I did today to my front grills. Was tired of looking at the dark black and decided to paint them a nice bright green (my favorite color) and to go along with my green bass. May not be for everyone but I especially liked how the 150 combo on the bottom looks with it

Having been a heavy smoker for over 43 years, I am very sensitive to tobacco and marijuana smoke. Never smoked opium. My MDB covers never smelled like smoke of any kind. The Fabric does indeed have a slight odor that dissipates in time, but nothing obnoxious. The MDB covers look good, fit perfect, have nice detailing, and the price is right.
There is one negative: Apparently the owner is a chain smoker. I noticed the smell on my cover when I got my test cover (Rumble 40) but when I got 4 large covers on Friday, it was overwhelming. Absolutely gross smelling. I've had them hanging out on the clothesline for 3 days and the stink is starting to dissipate.
