I don’t have a PC or Mac but my son does as he’s an avid gamer on PC. I’ll go talk to him and see what we can do.Yeah, I wouldn’t expect a Windows app to work on Android. Don't you have a Invalid Link Removed pc to try those with
Yes, exactly. And the LT can only use the desktop app.
There's a few, but I don't remember hearing from any who have use the desktop app with it.
Sorry for the frustration.

Hey, @Heavy Blue, try this video:
.
Thx for the info. It appears that this one supports data but I’ll get my kid to hook it up to his PC and see about windows explorer to be sure. Some USB cables do not support data transfer, most do. I have some that don’t support data and will only charge a device and it bugs me when I grab one of those by accident.
You can tell if you plug in your tablet to a computer with the cable, it will show up in Windows Explorer if it is a data cable, otherwise it won’t show up as it is just charging.
You can also look at the USB connector on the cable and see if there are only 2 wires connected then it is power only. If you can see 4 wires then it is power and data.

Nice G on adding the links to the wiki. Ty!.
Attention: Rumble Club Wiki Edit Alert!
Thanks, @Heavy Blue! Your questions about using the TONE APP on a Rumble LT25 prompted me to find 2 more useful links to add to the Rumble Club Wiki page in the TONE App Support section. The TONE APP HOME Webpage is linked at the top of that section. And a link to the TONE DESKTOP APP video is linked further down, just above the Droopy_TX Preset Experience sub-section.
Thank you, Heavy, for your questions!

So this afternoon, I took it back to the store and explained the situation to the gent who rented it to me. He then went online and I believe called the Fender rep and they got it sorted out.
We quickly and seamlessly updated the firmware and transferred the tone patches using the PC desktop app via the USB to micro USB cable which is hooked up prior to turning the LT on.
So, maybe the next project is to get the pics to work
We still don’t know if the phone/tablet apps will work or not. I kind of doubt it.
Either way. With that issue taken care of and now that we know that the amp is in good order I then decided to buy it. The dealer also took the rental cost out of the price too so a double win and a NAD for me lol.
So after having 2-3 month rentals of the Studio 40 & Rumble 100 but never could quite pull the trigger on them I’m now the proud owner of a Rumble LT25.
As it is with its stablemate the Bassman 25. It’s a nifty little amp with a tone bigger than its humble wattage and 8” speaker would suggest.
The cleaner presets such as the Studio Clean and Rumble sound very nice for a core tone. Then there’s the cornucopia of options for tweaking from there. Fun stuff!
It’s somewhat a bit limited in flexibility compared to the Studio/Stage series in that you can’t juggle the order of effects but or put multiples of a given type of pedal in the chain but otoh this lessens the time spent in tweaker’s limbo too. Fwiw there’s also no DI or effects loop either. I have no need for them here.
The only complaint I have irt the available patches is that there isn’t a proper envelope filter to be had which is hugely disappointing as I loved using them on the Studio. It also seems kind of pointless to only have one EQ available for the EQ pedal too. Now I just need a footswitch and another very portable but inexpensive device that will run the Tone Desktop App as I guess the regular Fender Tone app doesn’t work with the LT25 and I don’t want to be messing around on my son’s PC either.
Regardless, it’s a blast to use and imo a very good bang for the buck. Highly recommended so far. Very very happy with it.
So do I get a Rumble club member number now finally at long last?
Also, Pics or it didn’t happen...
Yeah, a palace my place isn’t but at least it’s paid for and things are getting better again for the economy and such so repairs are coming soon. Calling the plumber today actually to get that end of things taken care of. It’s been a rough stretch but things are looking up.![]()
Yeah no kidding. What happened there I wonder? I just took them a few moments ago and sent them up. I’ll try again. So, I guess the next project is to get the pics to work ?

Well, Heavy, besides the pix not showing you really need to post them in tne main Rumble Club thread to get a membership number, please. Meanwhile, I'll dig out the membershiproll so I'll be ready for your successfulpost there.
This is just The Club's sub-thread for bass modeling discussions.

Well, if we keep buckling down it could be paid off in a few more years. Not to be flippant, but the main win the Rumble Studio 40 has over using VSTs is that it is an amp, and can actually produce processed sound stand-alone: No need for an audio interface or DAW; and it sounds great doing it.Hi guys,
I always play through my computer connected to my Scarlett interface and using VST's. I feel some GAS about buying this Rumble Studio 40... now, what I would really win over my current setup, if anything?
There are many great plugins for DAWs; including very full featured plug-ins like Line 6's Helix Native. I tend to think plugins provide more options to tweak the sound and/or signal path. Amp modeling in the digital Rumbles is more analogous to tweaking a physical amp. That is not to say the modeling in the Rumbles is not flexible, though. The current firmware provides ~20 amp models, 2 dozen cab models, and ~50 effects. So, it is pretty full-featured as well; but, the modeling parameters are limited to what you'd find on the physical models.Anyone who is experienced with VST's (Amplitube cabs, Parallax, Plugin Alliance SVT-VR) could tell me if the sims in the amp are on par in terms of quality?
There is the wifi-based Tone app for (Android/iOS) for Studio 40/Stage 800. The Tone desktop app, only works on the LT-series which uses USB for communication. To tweak the sounds there are a phone and a desktop app I think, right? Do they have a good interface and are easy to use? I think Amplitube is a bit chunky but once you get used to it is not that bad, for example.
The Studio 40/Stage 800 can be connected to a DAW either by connecting the 2-XLR outputs to an audio interface, or by using the 2-channel USB output. In either case, there are two output options. The line out default setting is two mono outputs:”PRE” (direct and unaffected signal) and “POST” (includes all onboard processing). This would give you the clean and and effected signals you desire. Note, though, you cannot re-amp a signal into the Rumble via USB.To record through the amp to the computer, I would need to connect it to the Scarlet Mic input XLR to XLR? Could I record a double input clean & with effects simultaneously?

The latest version (3.x) of the Tone app has returned to a skeuomorphic design in which the interface resembles the actual amp face. So, it is very easy to use. Additionally, all features of the amp are accessible via the amp's LCD interface, which is also easy to use.

The outputs can also be configured for stereo "POST"; which is what you'd use for any presets with stereo effects.
In summary:
There's a lot that can be done with VSTs. If your main use case is recording, you have a good set of plugins, and you're happy playing through your computer setup via monitors or headphones, there may not be a compelling reason to purchase a modeling amp.
However, if you need or want a separate physical amp to be independent of the DAW, the digital Rumble series provides a broad range of amp tones and effects, and quality playback, in a nice light-weight package.
Hope this helps.
Just read this post because I am just about to get into recording my bass through a Daw etc.. I want to record in stereo but whenever I select this option in any DAW(I've tried 4 so far, Cakewalk the latest one). The right speaker volume levels are considerably lower than the left..I don't understand why.. sorry I'm a total newbie with DAWS and recording....any input would be much appreciated...No problem on running these tests, Cap.
So, firstly, good that your LINE OUT level is set to +6.0. That should provide a good nominal signal level for recording. Secondly, your understanding of Options 1 and 2 of the USB out are spot on.
Regarding Option 3, when LINE OUT is set STEREO the amp sends a single stereo-paired POST signal using both USB input 1 and USB input 2. Input 1 carries the LEFT stereo channel; input 2 carries the RIGHT stereo channel.
Note: Since (most) basses are mono instruments, any PRE signal would also be mono; as such, there is no need to have a "stereo pre" option.
The purpose of the STEREO setting for the LINE OUT (whether using USB or XLR) is to accommodate the output of stereo effects. There are several stereo effects on the Rumble Studio/Stage amps. One preset on which it very easy to hear the stereo effect is the default preset: 44 BASIC BASS ECHO. Plug your headphones into the amp's headphone out and listen as you play to hear the echo effect slowly pan back and forth.
In order to capture such an effect in any DAW (e.g. GarageBand), you need to setup a stereo track. In GB, you can do this when you create a new track. For an existing track, within the track's "Recording Settings" on the "Input" selector there icon with a single circle if the track is set to mono, or a double-linked circles if the track is set to stereo. Clicking the icon will toggle between stereo and mono. When in mono, it will depict the single input channel it is recording, such as "1 (Fender Rumble USB Audio)". In stereo, it will say "1-2 (Fender Rumble USB Audio)" indicating that it is set to record both inputs (left and right) into a stereo track.
I will follow-up with some more info, but I will break here as @ricardol has provided some additional information
that should be inserted at this point.
(So, re-read the note above carefully.)
There are 2 USB output modes on the Rumble Studio/Stage:Just read this post because I am just about to get into recording my bass through a Daw etc.. Ah ha, thanks Droop,il try that tomorrow.. thanks a lot...There are 2 USB output modes on the Rumble Studio/Stage:
I believe the only way to change the amp’s USB output mode is via the physical controls on the amp. I’ve look through the Tone app, and don’t see a way of changing it with the app.
PRE/POST - In this configuration, USB Channel 1 is carrying the POST signal (i.e. the fully effected signal path of the amp and any effects); while USB Channel 2 is carrying the PRE signal (i.e. the direct, unaffected signal). This is the option you currently have selected; and is why your levels differ.
STEREO - In this configuration, the USB Channels 1-2 pair are carrying the stereo POST signal from the amp and all effect. This will give you a proper stereo signal path into a stereo track.
From the amp’s front panel controls, press the MENU button; select EQ & AMP SETTINGS from the list; then select LINE OUT OPTIONS. You will see the option selections PRE/POST and STEREO. Note, this changes the signal configuration both for the USB output and the XLR outputs.
If you are using stereo effects within the amp, or you simply want to record a stereo signal, choose STEREO; setup a stereo track in your DAW, and choose the USB Channel 1-2 pair from the amp as your track’s input.
If you are not using stereo effects in the amp, you can run in mono by choosing PRE/POST; but you must setup your DAW track to be a mono track, and use only USB Channel 1 from the amp as your track’s input. You still add stereo plugins in the DAW. It’s just the input that needs to be mono in this mode. It’s then just like any other mono amp source. I usually use this mode if I’m not using some sort of stereo effect (e.g. modulation) in the amp.
With the mono PRE/POST option, you can also setup another DAW track to record your unaffected signal from USB Channel 2 if you think you might want to use it later; perhaps to blend a “studio desk” sound or to “re-amp” it through another amp modeling plug-in.
Hope this helps.
