Wahoooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
Now there's a fish I recognize!! Love Wahoo, so much fun on the lighter tackle although they have a tendency to absolutely wreck my skirted lures. I guess the trade off for ruined lures is that they are so tastyl!!

Oh yeah they are, we had fresh Hoo steaks that nite! That was a double slammer, my son on the left. A great day on the water for sure.
The largemouth bass and northern pike were biting in Wisconsin this past weekend. I caught several good sized bucketmouths and my brother caught this nice lunker at 34". He tried to release it but it was too exhausted, so now she's fish fillets.

Top water fishing in the Chesapeake Bay is on fire right now. I caught about 40 rockfish (striped bass) and a nice blue fish on a fly rod a couple weeks ago. The big rockfish are finally showing up and feeding at the surface as well. Last weekend we caught sea trout and puppy drum (small redfish/red drum). Also brought in a several dozen blue crabs. October is a great time for fishing in these parts. I'll try to get some pics on the next trip.
my kid likes to fish... we go when he loads up the van with the tackle and wakes me up at 5am on saturdays... I should have never told him that i'd take him fishing if he did that. Mostly cause it's alway's a surprise for me...

It's heating up again here off Long Island too Baba. Trolled a little of everything last Monday including shads on an umbrella, bunker spoons, deep diving plugs and even a feather. Got fish on them all. Bluefish from 5" to 14 lbs all day. My friend Paul got his 25 lb bass on a diver and I caught my first ever green bonito on one too. Felt like a blue on speed! Great start to the fall.

Had a banner day on Friday before this storm moved in. I'll be happy if my boat is floating tomorrow.
Good to see a few people catching fish, I've finished fitting out my new boat for this summer. Just need to get back into work so I can pay for the trailer and boat registration and take it out. Such a tease!!
Pete- how did you make out? Ten days no power at home was brutal. My boat took a hit. I had hauled it and left it on trailer at my club in Freeport. Should have taken it home.
Water rose over bulkheads about 7 feet. My trailer got smacked by other members and got hung up on a power meter box. Ripped a nice hole down my port side. Worst was my prop got hung up in the chain link fence pinning the engine and my bow rose submerging the engine. Freeport is a disaster. Adjustor still hasn't totalled it yet. My friend had his sunk at the dock and may get a new etec our of it. I hope so.

Oh that stinks. We had a lot of damage in the area but I made out fine. Bertram stayed in the water and the skiff was on a trailer on high ground. We never lost power.
I am in the minority here in Babylon. No ramps or gas docks open around so I'm hanging it up for the season.

I had both of mine out of the water, but it turned out the storm mostly missed the Chesapeake. My bro-in-law's was the only dry docked boat in his Long Island marina that wasn't knocked over.
Tried to snag a striper or tog last weekend at the beach, but no luck. We stopped by a river on the way there and landed a pickerel and a couple largemouth.
Hoping to get out this weekend and find a fat striper in the bay - tis the season.
