Yeah I too thought that the wording was a little interesting but it was the opinion, not the wording that seemed criticised.Hence my post.

These guys are incredible.
i hope this turns out OK for you... what a drag.Thank you all for asking.
It's not that bad, but it makes me furious anyway.
My Monarch (one of the models shown at the NAMM show) should have arrived last Monday. Instead, it stayed in customs till yesterday. No reaction from FedEx. I contacted them and they told me they need a statement from me that they are authorized to handle the whole clearing and tax stuff. Strange, because I have sent this to them last Friday after they called me up and asked for it. They must have lost it.
OK, sh*t happens. Today the bass was already out for delivery and I stayed at home the whole day in excitement. This afternoon I got an email which said, that the address is wrong. I went "WHAT?". The building has the number "13/2", but somebody must have read it as "132". This driver must have been a complete moron! The street I live in is very short and everbody can see a big "13/2" on my mailbox, just by driving by. Couldn't he have asked somebody, this poor sucker?
I hope the bass will be delivered tomorrow.
As far as wording goes, would you guys have been happier had I just said nice bass, but I don't like ramps? I'd imagine we'd still be having the same conversation. You guys are a sensitive bunch.
i hope this turns out OK for you... what a drag.
What a pain. Basses in transit always make me nervous; hope this gets to you quick.
On the brighter side... which Monarch are you getting?
So now it's our fault for being "sensitive"? Trying to turn it around on others isn't cool. I see a bunch of stuff on TalkBass that isn't to my taste whatsoever. So what do I do? I just don't comment on it because I have nothing of value to add. If you don't like ramps then don't comment. I guess I see that as so self evident, that I am surprised it goes on. I won't talk about this anymore. Anyway...
I think the Fodera that was posted looks fantastic, and the matching ramp system is some incredible work and I am sure the buyer will love it (this is what actually matters here). I love seeing all the new Foderas coming through, some of the best basses around for sure.![]()
Thank you, there's always hope.
I'm getting a fourstring with a quite unusual wood combination for a Monarch. Ash body, birdseye maple FB, dark claro walnut top.
You can see it on the newborns page at Fodera's website. It can also be seen in the background on some of the vids from the Fodera booth.
I hope they take it indoors tonight; it's getting pretty cold here.
