I hear what your saying Vic, it's just that cookie-cutter mindset that gets to me.

Yeah, I know/agree. In as much as I don't get the opportunity to record much these days, there was a time (wistful look in my eye) when I spent a lot of time in local studios. And as I always like to keep options open for what may come, I still keep a plain old Fender Geddy Lee J bass. It's fairly heavy, and lacks the B string I like to have for a lot of stuff, so I rarely use it currently, but it plays and sounds great, and will satisfy that requirement if I ever hit it again.

That can be misinterpreted pretty badly if read by a non-musician... I like to think they were screaming at those triplets instead! I know I'd be!

I have had E5S #65 for almost 4 months and still can't walk by it without picking it up. Amazing basses.
