Funny thing,,,, I heard Lincoln Goines is teaching at Berklee these days so I contact him to see if he has time to squeeze me in. I'm in committed to 3 months of weeklys.

I just heard that as well from my teacher John Lockwood...have a great time. I'm hoping to get him for private lessons when I start at Bezerkly in the fall...he took Matt's place.

Picked it up this past Wednesday. A custom order and the bass of my dreams...

What a nice bass! We need at picture with all your Foderas:)

Awesome Fodera, there are many guys that would love your bass. The Older ones with the HazLab and especially the 2 band are very cool. Don't ever fall into the upgrade idea!!!!! if you want a Pope pre then just sell that bass, don't ruin what it is!!!

I don't believe there is a manual of any kind, but if you search out Hazlab they might have something for you other wise just play the bass and listen as you flip them on and off.

I have a quick and simple question for you all lucky fodera owner.

Is your fodera 1.75" thick or 1.625"?

It wouls help me a lot if you could answer this little question

Take care

There is no standard thickness for Fodera...they are all made by hand. I have several and will measure them when I get home, but I know that they vary...

Just got my new (to me) Monarch Wooten Classic from fedex today. I'm noticing that the Pope pre is really hot and that without much boost, the bass's signal really jumps and I can pretty easily push the bass to a level of clipping on my rig. It sounds fantastic flat/passive and a little bit of boost/cut with the pre can really shape the tone nicely. I also noticed that the Master Tone, treble roll-off is very subtle...much more so than on other basses I've played.

The Monarch I just got is in pristine shape, but is a bit older and has a Pope pre from a few revisions ago. I'm going to try some fresh batteries tomorrow, but I've played Fodera's in the past (but not in a few years) and vaguely remember this being the case with the basses I played. Does this sound normal or do I need to bring this bass in for a checkup?
