I have to admit that the same thing crossed my mind -- especially when the possible brother popped up. My paranoia was saying This is a little too made-for-TV.
But so far I don't see what anyone has to illicitly gain, beyond the cost of a cheap bass.

I'm still in awe. I found this thread yesterday just before andre000 posted his first post. I was moved by GE's heart and generosity - and like many have stated before, I'm willing to kick in to make this happen. andre000's story 'kicked it up a notch' and brought tears to my eyes. I'm a believer, I believe that God had a hand in this and I can't wait to hear of the reunion. All you non-believers... read the whole thread, you may want to get on board.

Clarification: In this case, 'I'm a believer' was meant to refer to the truthfulness of andre000's quest (although I am a firm believer in the Jesus Christ sense too) And I do believe God had a hand in this. 'All you non-believers' was meant in a skeptic sense - as regards the motives of the players.
