Out of curiosity, is the hum only when pickups are soloed or all the time even when blended?

Blended. I know the difference between the two.

Well,just got the M2000 Tribute,off the FedEx truck today. NBD, 2012,I think according to the serial number. Needed some TLC,cleaned the fret board,and added

some lemon pledge to the fret board,and put set fresh roundwounds on there. It was pretty grungy,also came with hard shell tolex case. So I now have an L2000 Tribute,and the M2000 Tribute,nice basses,IMO.

Also noticed the L2000,and the M2000,have Quarter Sawn necks. M2000 has the glossy finish,on the neck,and headstock as well. L2000,has satin finish on back of neck,and headstock as well. Thinking about matching the headstock,with the walnut body,on the L2000?

I would like to a get a number.
Here is my, just got it, 2015 G&L LB-100 P/J Prototype, with G&L LB-100 Alnico Pick up, and G&L JB Alnico 5 single coil pick up. I spotted it a couple of weeks ago on the G&L website with a about 11 other guitars and basses that they were selling. Most were instruments they loaned out for reviews, or were samples, but this one was a prototype instrument they built. I had been knocking around the idea of adding a P-Bass to my Jazz bass, when I saw this bass. What a better way to add a P-Bass, then to add a one of kind instrument. I tried to ignore it for a week, but decided to pull the trigger after all. Glad I did, it is a beautiful bass and plays and sounds fantastic.

It was built in late 2014 and is in "as new" condition.

Specs; it is a USA SB-2:

• Sonic blue alder body
  
• Pickguard: white
  
• Quarter-sawn maple neck (no. 11 neck, 1 5/8 inch nut width and 7.5 inch radius)
  
• Light tint satin finish on neck and headstock

I've been missing out on the G&L action, partly due to TalkBass filtering my watched threads somehow. Anyway, I played my Hog Wunkay yesterday at band practice, having let it sit in its case for about 10 months. Dang, it sounded good. I opted for OMG and rolling back the bass a bit. The comment from the keys player from across the room was "this is how bass should sound with this band." I have been using a custom-made Precision for the last year or so, and the neck is narrower on that one which suits my small hands better. But, the L-1000 is definitely the runner-up. I will change rounds on the P to get to the tone are a the guys are after (I have been using Pyramid Gold flats so far).

Just picked up this used MJ-5 from the guitar center site. Looks pretty good and at a pretty good price too. Can't wait to get it and check it out!

Hey guys. I made a thread about this, today, but I figured I'd ask here..
Does G&L sell replacement necks? I have a G&L LB100 that I love, but I am having a hard time getting along with the modern P bass neck. I like jazz necks.

IIRC they were Tribute necks, no longer available.

they can make you a three or six bolt neck, in fact my 94 LB100 has a three bolt replacement neck which is the sweetest neck i've ever played

That's great to hear. I don't want to replace this bass, just because of the neck.
