High Dive Seattle playing with my band, Stereo Embers. Loving this bass!

There are luthiers that can build that for you. You can buy this pickups and electronics here: Collections - G&L Online Store

Yeah I'm kinda thinking of getting this done in the next year or so if the actual bass doesn't become available through G&L.

Another only vaguely related question - would a 90's ASAT Bass neck fit the neck pocket of a 90's L2000? Both have 21 frets and seem to the eye to have similar heel shape. I don't have access to an ASAT bass to check this out - what do people in the know think?

Good call!

Also - I meant to post this yetserday....
I've recently bought back a few basses I've owned in the past....a Fender Frank Bello signature bass with Dimarzio DP126 PJ set and a 1st Gen Yamaha TRB 4. Bought them back as they are great basses, but. ..
I just can't get along any more with non-MFD pickups. I know that sounds snobby, it's not meant to. I guess for me the L2000 just fits totally into what I need. I love all the tones from either pickup solo'd or run together, tone up, tone down, series, parallel. Perfect.
So now - do I sell them to fund a custom G&L build, or do I chase an elusive El Toro?

Just got the word that my CS kiloton shipped yesterday

I'm curious. When you say Custom Shop do you mean something beyond the option order instruments? If so, what are the mechanics to putting in an order like that, and how does one find out what's possible from G&L for some arbitrary amount of capital?

In the past year, G&L has gone to a more Fender-like model of offering different levels of US basses: Custom Shop, Option Order, Fullerton Deluxe, Fullerton Standard, and CLF Research (plus the non-US tributes, of course).

Made in Fullerton Basses

In 2017, the spalted top cost me $150 as an option. But as of late 2018, non-standard options like that have to go through the Custom Shop.

Going through the Custom Shop raises the base price a fair amount (close to a grand), but it has a lot more options than previously advertised for build-to-order, and the options are still about the same price. For example, the upcharge for the spalted top was about the same between my build-to-order SB-2 and my CS kiloton, but the CS was a bit more expensive overall due to the higher base price.

Easiest way is to talk with a G&L dealer (otherwise, it's easier to do your own long form taxes than to figure out what the pricing is ).

I know that Greg at @RocketMusic probably knows this stuff by heart and he turns around very fast quotes

Hi G&L lovers,
I have a L2500 and yesterday during band's practice one of the polepiece got loose to the point it sticks on the E string. I screwed it back but this pole seems looser than all the others. Is there's a way to keep it tight? Is is a issue with my pickup?

Thanks a lot for the help.
