Yeah, all the basses arrived earlier this week. G&L is just spreading out their publicity of them so that it's not a flood of photos all headed to one store. With the added bonus that is draws out the marketing longer. They reach a lot more people than my facebook feed does, that's for sure.

Whew. The end is in sight! I shot 7 more yesterday and processed all the photos last night. I'll be posting them throughout the day. Then there's just another 5-6 new basses to go (including a JB and an Empress ASAT!).

Is this one gorgeous, or what?!? I would never have ordered this on my own, it just would not have occurred to me. But now I'm head over heels for this look.

Here's an Ash/Maple one in Vintage Natural.

This one is strung with Invalid Link Removed, their new low tension flatwound strings. G&L did this at the factory as an experiment since one of their sales guy reps La Bella on the side. I'm digging the strings. They feel like TI or Dogal flats, but they still sound like La Bellas (on the thumpy/thuddy side of things).

I've been meaning to become a La Bella dealer for years, especially now that I'm a P-bass w/ flats guy... this might just push me over the edge. I'm thinking I'll offer some sort of incentive to try to get these LB-100's moving, and maybe a free set of La Bellas with the purchase of any LB-100 would do that? I'm already priced 20% under whatever a new LB-100 would go for, so maybe that and a free set of flats would seal the deal for some folks?

Here's another Ash/Maple one. Belair Green would normally come over Alder, but G&L decided to upgrade the body to Ash on this one. Good call, classic sound!

The neck and fretboard are also quartersawn, and the board is absolutely COVERED in the that checkered sort of pattern you get with quartersawn. Really, really pretty.
