Here is a link to that clip that Chef mentioned above. Fingertyle and slap on a 70's style J with stainless steel rounds and a very 'accurate' full range cab. Playing starts at around 30 seconds if you want to skip the blah blah blah.

Curious... Anyone of the other YOMS orderees please answer this. Did you receive an invoice/receipt with your SL? I did not and according to the warranty you need it in case of an issue.
Yeah I would figure that too, it says on the card to write down where you bought it from and YOMS is a registered dealer or whatever so no worries. NOW played with it wooo! Initial thoughts from a metal guy.
If you are looking for grind, punch and oomph... Look no further. You can dial in super grindy overdrive on this thing suuuuper easy. Its almost too much at times which is way cool, because if I know I have a song up coming in the set I want a little more growl on its as simple as turning the gain and pre-amp volume a tick this way or that.
That just a quick first impression with it for 20 mins with headphones with my daughter is asleep.
Very impressed though, will post back tomorrow on how it runs my cabs and how it can do in a mix in a live setting.
Woooo!

A few things;
* as mentioned, you don't need the receipt.
* if you'd like, you can even fill out the warranty on line:

* Lastly- Overdrive tone. Don't forget that if the overdrive sounds "too much", I'd suggest turning off your tweeter if you haven't already. Also, roll off some treble on the amp. I noticed a few people aren't bothering to re-eq when they demo the overdrive. ....then, they say it is a little buzzy.
Is anyone who has the Streamliner using it in a metal band? If so, how do you find it for that style?

djshawn47 said:I am. I just got it yesterday and payed with it for about an hour. I am running it through an Uber212. Right out of the box and with everything at noon...It didnt have the sound I needed, but within 30 mins I found it.
I play sludge, doom, stoner... So thats the sound Im looking for in a smaller more portable rig. First practice with it will be on Sunday.
Here's how I found "the sound"...
2008 American P bass>Tech 21 VT Bass pedal (use the "Flip-Top" sample setting from the instruction manual)>SL900 (Gain at noon, bass at 2oclock, Treble at 10 oclock, Mids at 3 oclock with the Mid Freq @ 220> Uber 212 Tweeter turned down to 9 oclock.
If you really want to to do some damage, depress the Gain switch. I didnt need to...I was rockin without it.
I want to try it through an Uber 410...might give just a bit more of that chest thump that I like than the 212...and the caster situation on the 212 blows IMO...but thats for another thread.

I use a 4ohm, great cab and good price is icing. I think the 15/6/1 style is a great match with the SL since both have a definite extension in highs and lows. I run the tweet about 25-50 on the SL since the highs are so smooth on this amp.
Thanks to me (and Tunaman's heads up), Red Dirt Bros. is currently sold out of the 900's. Can't wait to put this up against my RH450 with my RS210 cabs!

50 knobs vs the SL900 is going to be a change but thats great.
). The RH450 is not the best solution in some of these other genres, IMO/IME. The para-EQ helps, but I'm finding it's just not enough for my tonal goals. I'm sure gonna miss all of those features, though. We'll see how the A/B goes.
