I have an helix lt and I'd suggest using the effect return of the amp when using the hx stomp with amp and ir. I've been doing this with my shuttle 3.0 and it works great to capture the flavor of the amp and cab modeling.

I had one of the heavy weight Le Cover covers for another amp and one point and it was pretty much as described above and easily stood on its own. I had mixed feelings about that. You always have the trade-off between protection and ease of use. I tend to lean more towards easily folded, less protection, less bulky because my uses do not require more protection and ease of use/schlepability is paramount. (the same is true for me regarding gig bags... I dislike the big bulky ones like the Mono or the Continental).

I’m with you regarding big bulky covers and gig bags. I had a mono gig bag for about a year...I sold it as it wasn’t getting used because of its bulkiness and weight. My HSCs are lighter weight and more protective. My wife sewed in moving blanket material for a liner in one of my cab covers. Still folds really nice and light weight. And she always puts in reinforced cutouts for carrying handles. It’s not that big of a deal really. PM sent.

I'm sure it's somewhere in the pages of this topic, but what is the vertical dispersion of the 12-3? I'm playing a long, narrow room and was thinking about setting my cab on its side so I don't have to tip it back.
