Sorry to go off topic, but............
Any video of you with the Mavericks? What gear are you using on tour?

Honestly,I like the top handles on the Uber cabs.. They are very conveniently placed. The first time i saw them i thought it was a gimmick or silly , until i actually used them. They worked very well.
That top load position makes a lift into and out of a car or SUV real easy. ONLY problem is if you leave the cab in a vehicle in TX heat during the summer. YOu WILL burn your hands since the metal heats up fairly well.
And i have soft girly hands.:)

I have to routinely carry my gear up and down a flight of steps, and IME/IMHO, those top/edge mounted handles are useless for carrying up a flight of steps. When I had the NeoX-212t's, I would just skip the handles and grab 'em like a big box for going up/down steps. With the side-mounted handles, I can hold a cab in front of me, up high enough away from my knees, and much more easily go up/down steps. If you never have to deal with steps, then I suppose the top/edge mounted handles would be okay.

Well, with all due respect, you do change your gear as often as some people change their underwear :):D
Ive had my Uber 115s on perhaps 1000 gigs since i got mine a few years ago.. I guess 85% of the time i moved it myself.. I never had that issue..

Well, keep in mind, I am gigging gear that I am reviewing, so yeah, I play a lot of different rigs...

Just curious, but how do you hold your Uber cabs when you carry them up a flight of steps? I know you are a little taller than me, but to use those handles, I'd have to have my elbows up by my eyeballs (and spread out too wide to get up my particular steps).

I don't go up stairs very othen. I will opt for the elevator with my cart...
But if i do need to go up stairs , I'd grab one handle on top and place my other hand on the bottom corner edge.. I sort of hold it out in front of me. Sort of like getting ready to shoot hoops.I dont find them to be too heavy .

What i really loved about the old handle is that your hand does not get crushed between the handle and the cabinet. YOu'll notice what i mean if you have to lift your cab from the floor up onto a stage that is about chest level.. I've worn some knuckle skin a few times when doing that with strap handles. Especially if the Vinyl coating is new and still rough
I prefer the Cup handles over strap handles for that reason.

But to each their own.. As they say, There are many ways to skin a cat .

Got it. That is about how I was carrying them up steps, too. Just not as convenient as side-mounted handles, IME/IMHO. And yes, strap handles on bigger/heavier cabs can be a pain, but I normally prefer recessed dish handles on the side of an enclosure, like on the new 2x12.
