There's snow, and then there's shoveling deep snow in predawn light, in jammies, so the dog has somewhere to go (a friend told me) :angel:

For those of you playing at home, last night's stewed oysters were elegant. More than welcome here and if you don't care for stewed oysters there are assorted beverages, biscuits, and clotted cream.

Smoked oysters are my favorite, never had stewed.

I live rather close to a lemonade stand of no mean fame. Oysters are only part of the attraction, for it is also widely held to be haunted. The only spirits I encounter are of the liquid sort

And there is a ristorante six blocks from my (then) residenza in Milan that serves a risotto with squid ink that will nail your bum to the floor. :drool: :drool: :drool:

I'm preparing a double rack of lamb with a red wine/Cassis reduction, finished with about a pound of butter!......
