This is all as it should be, too.
Spend 4 1/2 hours shoveling out of it, like I did today? :eyebrow:

Uh huh. :roflmao:

:smug:
Congratulations, well deserved. Did you choose a string option?

Acinonyx is in the cat family. I like the colour but I’ve been to Lake Placid and it wasn’t quite what I expected. Maybe it wasn’t sunny enough.

"Lovingly nicknamed the "Cat Bass” in the workshop, The Acinonyx is an insanely cool, somewhat weird, and deceptively menacing instrument. This bass has all of the playability and phat tone you would expect from a short scale, plus the added fun of the tone control switches. Tone choices are available with a push of a button. Go “All In” by punching all of the buttons at once, which puts the pickups in series mode resulting in a a loud, thick, and punchy tone. The 1 over 3 headstock may seem unusual, but it provides straight string pull while honoring the original aesthetic of the Goya Panther."

Ahhhhhhh!!
It’s TwentyFreakin’Four degrees outside my door!!!

It's 3 degrees here. Gonna take another coffee to get me out the door

It’s 2 below and our dog wants to go and do her thing. Did I ever mention that I hate winter?

Wow! All these different temperatures.
We don't have one here, the digital thermometer outside just says zero!?!

......all those reindeer names in the poem sound like street names for meth

I was 26 before I learned numbers 5 and 6 were Comet and Cupid. I always thought the name was Cubit. Must have conflated Christmas tales with the story of Noah's Ark! :bag:

Sang it wrong my whole childhood.

Made good today on the promise of a new bass for completing all 40 weeks of Ari Cap's Music Theory for the Bass Player cohort. It's an Acinonyx in Lake Placid Blue with a parchment pickguard. Expected to ship around the end of January.

They are REALLY interesting to me.....However.....I've sworn that I'm going to finish that bloody bass that I started before I start gassing about proper ones....:)

Congratulations on your course work, your discipline, and your work ethic!

That bass is gorgeous!
You earned it! ✌❤️

that's pretty much what Ari and Wolf directed be written on all the certificates of completion :woot: We have a lot of returning cohort members in 21, and I'm among them. New year, new course (again), new bass ...

what I haven't strictly said too loudly is a few days I took a call that may lead to some gigs, you know, when this whole thing shifts.

and seem to have forgotten Christmas dinner in all the confusion but there's a blue bass in the deal

Is there now a need for a new gig bag?
Nah....The Contessa is still under house arrest.....

We're all under house arrest and Nordstrom offers a gig bag with faux cheetah print for a C note for preorder. Be nice to know the dimensions of the bass before making a decision. If it fits in a guitar shaped gig bag, I'm in for a high end one that's more likely to be allowed in the overhead storage bin.

I suspect that Odin takes dinner time very seriously. They can tell the time to the second and let you know when you’re late.
[

Odin informs me of all his needs with great seriousness. He also know how conflate "want" to "need". Poodles are very smart.

Point very well taken :roflmao:

Walking five blocks from home to rehearsal with a HSC in hand put me in the express lane for a gig bag in 81. Wasn't much, didn't cost much, wasn't much thought out. What it was, was a blessing. A Reunion Blues Continental Voyager was a revelation.

Larder...I've never heard that term before.
It's called "larder" because when someone wanted to keep food for a while (before refrigeration) they would coat it in lard and store all such coated items together.
That is probably not true, but if you say it with conviction it sounds somewhat plausible.

I've found that in such cases, the use of the word "chiefly" somewhere in the explanation leads to massive buy-in by the listeners.

I was a little irritated when they stopped being easy to find.
I was happy as could be, no more intermittent bass and guitar channels coming off the stage!
