Worked on another completely unnecessary project today. Changing the hard wired power and signal cables on the turntable to detachable. It's 47 yrs old. hope this doesn't affect it's vintage value too much. lol.

We went to Ikea...once. I hadn't even heard of Scheels until I started getting junk email from them about a month ago. Maybe I should feel privileged that the largest Scheels and largest all sports store in the world is located a mere 14.5 miles away from us. Wow.Yeah, I had to look it up. That's another 2 mins of my life gone.
Didn't realize it was 14 miles away. Being from Johnson County, that whole urban sprawl area tends to run together. I have to travel more than 14 miles to find a music store. Back in the day(GOF go to) McKinney was a long way from DFW now I can't tell when I leave one and get to the other. I drove highway 121 from Grapevine to Plano, when it was a two lane highway.
If you cooked those for another couple of hours they might might make good charcoal.
To your credit, I just posted both on the '60's Bassists. Thanks for the reminder...
Same here. The first time I came to DFW and drove in about '88, we landed at DFW airport, then drove to McKinney to see a coworker's relative. 121 was two lane and nothing but open space from the airport to McKinney. I kept asking where the hell we were going and how much further is it. It's only 30 or so miles from DFW to McKinney but sure seemed like a lot further.
This has thoroughly divided us into two camps.

My wife does them steamed with turkey dinner. Yummy, especially with turkey gravy, roast potatoes, carrots with turnip and cranberries on the side. Don't forget about the sausage stuffing. Can't wait for the next dinner!
