Gaaaaaah! Took the dawgs out to do what they do. It's in the 30's. After Thursday I have to hide in my basement until Xmas. Everyone goes ga ga on Xmas shopping for a month. Then close outs and returns until January. Now I'm grumpy.

Hadn't thought about the 5000 finger of Dr. T in years. I actually had nightmares about that movie when I was a kid. My very first piano teacher swatted my fingers with a ruler when I was five. I came home from my lesson nearly in tears and I refused to go back. When I told my mom she was livid and told the teacher off. But she had to see him every week in church as he was the organist and she was in the choir. Years later I had a really nice lady teacher but by then I was soured on piano and then took up bass. Ah the good old days.

I'm extra grumpy this morning, flying out to a family thanksgiving. Thanks to TSA, and their unfortunately understandable need to keep folks with destructive tendencies from doing destructive acts upon others, I contributed yet another perfectly fine Leatherman to their impressively large collection.

Since I work around livestock every day, I have to carry a knife for safety and work (and have had to use in an emergency maybe a dozen times in the last 25 years) so it's an automatic thing. This is the second one I've lost, and the ironic thing is that I bought this one from a TSA auction!

Just bought an identical replacement from a TSA auction site for $22 including shipping so I'm a little less grumpy now...

That sucks, Andy. Not a cheap tool either. On the bright side, you were smart enough not to take out your anger on NSA boy and end up with a full NDI or at least a good groppel. Or you smart enough to not bring it up on a forum Hope the rest of the trip is great and you have a great Thanksgiving!
