Sound well thought out and the shop matches well with the product. The idea of a corn burner is cool.

This brings back fond memories of a knitted Cowichan jacket with a moose on it that I had. Popular in the 50’s. It was made with multi-strand matted but untwisted wool (called prairie wool? ). Very warm. Found some big rolls years ago but it sits waiting for the right time.

Similar to below.

yup...the material is sometimes called "roving". It's the step between carded wool and yarn. Abi produces a lot of it for handspinners and knitters.

One of the things I like best about Mel Brooks, is how much he puts into setting up a gag.
I'd guess that over 80% of people didn't get the reference. Having grown up in Miami, and played for years in heavily Jewish Miami Beach, I caught a lotta the Jewish/Yiddish bits in his films that many of the audience members ignored. So there I am, with my shoulder length plus, longish black hair and beard, laughing like a lunatic and being stared at by those who 'missed' it. And that goes for almost all Brooks movies.

A good needle is essential for tracking the grooves in the vinyl

Tried to think of whom Needle Nancy reminded me.

I know guys who imagined themselves to be a real life Mongo. Or wished they could be. There was this one guy a lifetime ago, though. His nickname was Bam-Bam. And he was proud of this.

Thr University of Cincinnati had a basketball player that went all Mongo on a police horse with the officer mounted on the horse. If one cares to Google “Art Long horse” it is easily found.

The odd thing is that Art was found not guilty in court. Rumors are that the horse refused to testify.

I do not think the audience ignored it. I do think they just didn't understand it. Just my .02 worth.

David Brenner was on a talkshow talking about his bad teeth. He had fillings in every tooth. He got a crown and was so proud that he had one tooth in his mouth without a filling. It got infected and he had to have a root canal. He asked what about the crown? Dentist said no problem, we’ll just drill through it and then put in a filling.

I liked him. I remember him on the Tonight show quite a bit.
