Get off my LAWN! "Grumpy Old Farts"

Today is our son’s birthday. Happy birthday, Richard!

As I posted here in June, our dog, Sallie, passed away from cancer. Tonight we pick up a 7 week old golden doodle. I’m surprised that my wife allowed a little more than two months to go by without having a four legged friend as part of the family. She loves dogs more than anyone I have ever met in my life.

The new puppy will be the third dog of ours to have a Beatles themed name - Abbey. At one time we had a sheltie named Sgt. Pepper and a papillon named Penny Lane. I told my wife that Abbey’s middle name should be Normal. She looked at me as she quite often does with a look on her face that asked the question, “Are you stupid or what?”

This hash house has liver pudding on the breakfast menu.

Coffee good.
(GAG!)

I almost made liver pudding out of myself yesterday. I was cleaning a brake line on the wire wheel and it got caught up and was flung at my abdomen. It also hit the light bulb above the wheel shattering it.
OW! Had to take inventory of myself. Things never quite hurt as bad as they do once you realize what has happened. Luckily no serious damage other than abrasion through my tee shirt. WHEW! Could have been so much worse.
The other day I nearly took the tip of my left index finger off with a box knife. (sigh) Won't be playing the bass for a while.
Maybe its time to put the tools down and go play shuffle board.

My back really hurt, but Tramadol whacked it right out! :wacky:
.
BLLUuuuuuurrrgggggh….

Sorry ‘bout that.

I was prescribed Tramadol during a nine-month bout of crippling sciatica a few years ago. Even half a tablet was enough to make me feel ill, and I only used it reluctantly and occasionally.

Just thinking about it still makes my stomach do backflips.

Acupuncture worked for my sciatica. I draw the line at cupping. There's a lady outside of Longmont, Colorado who practices a therapy called Push.

"You hit you chest on the handlebars of your bike?" she asks as she pushes my body (very painfully) into a new position. And like that, the work is done, and it's permanent. No going back for resets like with a chiropractor. I stand properly for the first time since childhood!

One of the best days you’ll experience. May she enrich your life.

You dodged the bullet twice. Don’t let the third time be the charm. Chainmail.

Let's not get carried away...

Play all the shuffleboard you want, but only until you can get back to playing bass!

Hold the mayo please.
No kidding. My excellent airport hotel 28 € hamburger and frites came with two little bottles of ketchup, one little bottle each of mustard and mayo. Only for the frites. The burger already had an excellent sauce on it. Used both bottles of ketchup for the frites. Landfilled the mustard and mayo. Germans also LOVE mayo on their frites.

Try dipping the fries in ranch(dressing, that is).
