B-string may want to chime in here, but my understanding is if you can confirm the following, you're in:

You have owned a record changer,
or,
You have used a rotary phone on a party line,
or,
You remember when there were girdles and pantyhose wasn't invented yet,
or,
You actually watched the Ed Sullivan Show live and remember the Beatles & Stones,
or,
Your Mom only served Dream Whip because there was no Cool Whip,

AND,

You can show enough attitude that we're all thinking, "I don't want to mess with that guy!!"

A bit out of place but: hap, hap, happy day!! :D I'm allowed to drive again. YEA!!! :)

OK that's enough of that 'cos i just took my newish little Jeep in for service after it had sat in my driveway for the three months this ordeal has taken. Brakes have rusted out and need to be replaced. They're doing some other stuff under the warranty but I'm going to have to fork out $750+ to make it right!!!! :rollno: All because of one doctor's paranoia over being sued!!

Yay Paul!!!

Drive it like you stole it man.

Check. (Still have one, in fact.)

Check.

Not sure about the whipped toppings, but I don't think I meet the other two criteria.

I'm grumpy enough to cut to the chase and say I'm 46. But I am a pretty @#!% old and grumpy 46!

You can show enough attitude that we're all thinking, "I don't want to mess with that guy!!"

That's one of the best aspects of aging--you hit that "I don't have to care about being Mr. Nice Guy" level and can just wake up and start deviling people.

Hmm 46 is a little young, but maybe you have already learned the "things" that makes "midlife" such a crisis?

Well, in the last few days I've been reminded that there is something I dislike even more than rap music. What is that, you might ask? Polyps. I absolutely hate those pesky polyps. May have to write a Blues song about them. Any suggestions for a good song title? At the moment all I can come up with is "Pesky Polyp Blues" and "Rap Gave Me Polyps Blues" but I know we can do better. I'm also partial to "My Doctor Is A Snake Blues". :)

BTW, this list really hit home how old I am! Thanks for the reminder!!

The fish missed me. I just got back from vacation in Ocean City Md. The last full day we were there , Seahag and I were swimming in the ocean out in front of out hotel on 7th st. It was about 3 or 4 pm , a nice hot day and the ocean was about 73 degrees (a bit chilly for me but bearable.) I was catching some waves and body surfing and basically having a blast. I had just caught a real good wave and when I came up I noticed the lifeguards were ALL waving all the swimmers into the beach. I wandered in to about knee deep water and looked to see what all the commotion was about. About 20 feet further out from where I caught my last wave was about a 10 foot hammerhead. Here fishy fishy fishy........ come eat the grumpy old fart.
It ain't at all like Jaws. We all waited till the fish was out of sight , then pretty much everyone went back in the water. We heard the next day that it was probably a pregnant female looking for a place to give birth and had been spotted about 10 miles South near Assateague Island. You go girl!
