Gig Footwear?

What I want to wear that day... Either black (mid) high sneakers, side-buckled boots or my cowboy boots.
If the back is acting up: some comfy hiking shoes.

It took us 8 pages to get to this question? We're slipping.

New Rock - M.373X-S26

Wore these to my last big gig.
Maaan, i LOVED my first 2 near identical pairs of New Rocks. Very first pair was extremely similar to these you linked to ... Their boots fear no puddle nor any amount of snow, raw sewage, ...whatever!

I recall they cost around $160 back in 1992-93. Currently, they're just way out of my price range.

2nd pair about 2 years later were similar, but the detachable front protector plate had a few pyramids and spikes around it, as they became more decorative with metal and harder to find the plainer style. Even the round bulging fifty-cent-piece size logos got obnoxious (in 2 places on each shoe), and I used to cut around the stitching to ditch those. I don't do logos.

It was right around then that I first started noticing Demonias that seemed to be more geared towards the Gothic types (not me.)

If I could find a gently used pair of NRs for under 150 like the ones you pictured, I'd jump on em! (Errr... innem, I mean :)) And I rarely ever buy pre owned shoes.

I haven't worn shoes in over 20 years. I wear sandals year round and in the summer sometimes play barefoot. I have a specific type of sandal I wear for certain gigs where I also wear a suit. On some occasions like a wedding or more formal event I wear black dress boots but only on stage. The sandals go back on after the gig.

These are among my current everyday favorites. Very comfortable and pretty good looking. I also have a black pair.

For summer gigs I often wear something similar to this but only on stage.

Don't sandals of any kind give you a funky foot tan??? (Or is that why some guys wear socks with em :roflmao:)

But seriously :bored: I go barefoot from the beginning of summer til the end... only keep my Chuck's (& light socks ) in the back of the car in case I have to run into a store or decide to eat out, often coming or going to the beach or lake.

But sandals I just cannot abide no matter the circs! I'll take the burning hot sand anyday.

We all gotta be ourselves tho. Rock on
