My band recently played a "car show" in not-quite-rural North Carolina, very close to a Marine base. Unfortunately, I was too swept up in the ridiculousness of the whole thing to take pictures of the handful of nice vintage cars (including a Studebaker and too many Mustangs and one late 70s/early 80s VW Rabbit.)

I really liked the look of those final 9-5's. They are really brutal and blocky looking but with some nice smoothed edges and great proportions. Very muscular and solid looking without being bloated. It's a real shame that they made so few of them. They used to be a semi-common sight in the town that I worked in back in 2010 or so. There was a taxi company there that used to have a fleet of SAAB cars running on LPG. When SAAB folded the newest 9-5's were being sold very cheap (ostensibly because there would be no dealer support in future). That particular taxi company bought a number of the last 9-5's and ran them for a few years.
