Goodbye Greg Lake

Saw them in 1978 on tour, I think they played the entire Brain Salad Surgery album. He was a great singer/multi-instrumentalist, great punchy bass tone. I remember they had a big backdrop of the BSS album cover behind stage, that's what turned me on to H.R. Giger's Necronomicon artwork, very strange stuff. This has not been a good year for musicians.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Greg's family, friends and fans. There was a time when ELP was my "desert island" music. Loved Greg's voice. As others have said: Another great sadness in a very sad year.
