Guitar Center Used: Don't Buy Items

You have to be careful with what they determine to be vintage. Those only have a 3 day return policy.
Really I've never had them tell me that. It's always been 30 days on anything I've ever picked up in there. Anyway you should be careful with any purchase really unless you have that kind of money to just throw around and not care. God knows I don't!

Despite a really nice setup and a great feel, something's wonky with this one. The D string is barely audible and the knobs don't seem to do anything.

GC Cleveland has a Peavey Fury for $119.99. US made and in one piece, yes... but a terrible rattlecan spraypaint job.
Their value in good shape continues to drop, so I'd say one as poorly bastardized as this should not be marked at $119.99.

Just FYI...

I can volunteer to check out basses and amps at the Florence, KY store. Most days I could swing by after about 4pm. They usually aren't particularly competitive with pricing, though. PM me, I'll get notification on my phone, so I may be able to get back with you the same day, in time to order before closing. I'm not a bass hound, more of an amp and cab nut; but bad intonation, warped neck, cosmetic issues no problem. Can't tell original vintage from reissue or plain fake, though.

Been dead around here, eh? Well, here's some fodder...

I don't know what it actually is, but I can tell you what it isn't: Worth $309.
Look at the mismatch of the control plate, look at the cheap bridge... I would RUN from something like this at $200. $309 is laughable and $399 (like on the tag) is absolute hilarity.

I looked at the bass on GC's site so I could zoom in. Tag says it's a parts bass. It appears to have Barts as Photobassist indicated. To my eye, it looks like a short scale bass with a Jazz Bass decal that had Fender clipped off. Odd...
