Guitar Center used site

I had to look that up. If someone bought this they could net $75 for that badass II and those pickups used are $75-90. It would be a nice backup bass and whenever you didnt want it gut it and sell off the upgraded parts.

Alright, you sold me. GC should give you a commission.

Anyways......I called the store to have them hold it for me till tomorrow. Apparently, since bringing the neck pup issue to their attention, they dropped it down to $66. I just paid for it and I'll pick it up mañana. I'll see if I can get the pot fixed and live with the color. Otherwise there may be some really reasonably priced pickups and a bridge in the classifieds soon.

They should give me one of the 6 jobs I applied for ;) If I cant get a job at GC who do they hire? That was a killer deal. I dont like BA II's or red either but I would have bought it at that price or even the posted price.

Some deals

This is a solid deal for a T40 with a case $300

This is a silverburst which makes it rather desirable as it also has chrome hardware

I called on it, salesman was refreshingly honest. This bass has "issues". Finish and wood damage on the back, he said it looked as if it had been dropped fairly hard. The preamp is intermittent and the battery gets very hot. He suspects the drop may shorting out the electronics somewhere. If you buy this bass you will need to invest in repairing it - no thanks.

I'm surprised he didn't tell you, "Oh man, ya this one's awesome. I'd totally buy it right now. Where are we shipping to?"

Anyone want to try out the 59 p bass at the Ocean, NJ GC and let me know what they think? Thanks!

Didn't get to play it (it was waaay up on the wall & I was quickly running in for some strings), but did take a good look at it.

Very clean - tort guard had some shrinkage (to be expected), but the body was in phenomenal shape (very few dings to be seen, if any) and the neck/board/headstock were all in great shape too.

Saw the $8500 price tag, sighed & walked away with my head down. :)

If I stop by in the near future (and it's still there) I'll see if I can play it & maybe snap a pic or two.

Cool thanks! The board and dot markers looked pretty light from the pics online

guitar center north charleston has a couple nice deals.

USA Tobias renegade with barts. 299. a little beat up but seemed like a decent player. also had a 1981 p bass with a Duncan scribe pickup and a ba2 for 799. could use a neck shim but the neck was straight. if you call, ask for Ben Meyer. he's a good sales guy that always takes good care of me, and is a working bassist that knows what he's talking about.

Nice price. I wish this was around when I was looking for one.
Either way, I love mine and don't regret paying what I did for it.

With shipping and sales tax it would have been about $225. I'm not sure if saving only $75 on a used one is false economy since you don't get a warranty, a choice of colors, etc.

I so want a 5-string P-Bass, but I have two Squier P special 5s (one with a P and a J and the other will have a P and an MM when I get it done).
