I think it works with the PJ and some of the others with the bursts. It definintely does not work on the short scales. Would it keep me from purchasing a new one? Not if it is one I am interested in.

The old headstock design fit together well with the lines of the instrument. Then new one does not in my opinion.

I don't know about you, but when my SX is strapped on and I'm making music, there are only three things I might be looking at: the strings, the frets (or fretlines) and maybe a lead sheet. That's just me.
i've heard that too, but when i measured two of my sx necks, they both came out around 2 3/8 heel width. if the mightymite is a 'licensed by fender' replacement, as they say they are, then they're going to have to be 2 1/2. can someone CONFIRM for us that a mightymite neck will fit on a full scale sx bass with little or no modification? thank you...
