Good for you for not over reacting. It is replacable. Even a good friend can do something stupid does not mean he was trying to do you wrong. I have very close friends that a bass would never come between us, no matter how bad they tore it up.

But yeah, that would be the last time i would let him walk out the door with anymore of your gear.
 
It certainly is unique... to say the least.

So long as he pays you back, I would keep that body on there. Just for ****s and giggles. It looks like a bass made out of a single cut of cardboard with the edges like that. Very double take.
