It's all these guys fault...

I really really hate this opinion. It's so ignorant to all the fantastic music that's been made in my lifetime.
As ignorant as people who thinks there's no life beyond Fender, Rick. (God help you If you like Fender PJ, or P with Jazz neck. Blasphemy..)
(I'm not that old but I'm pretty ignorant to post 80s music..I grew up in the 2000s but still don't like it.)

I showed a picture of myself and my wife when a band I was in was playing an 80s themed show once. The person said "nice costume" and I replied, "it's not a costume, thats the real me. What you see on most days (normal hair, clothes, etc) is the costume."

Have you ever been asked, "If you could go back to high school, would you?" I always reply, "yeah, if 2020 me could go" (Im waaaay cooler now, you know!). A guitar buddy and I are working on a recording project, just us and a drum machine, recording stuff that we wish we could have recorded back in the 80s in school. We are calling it "87 Fiero", because, admit it, that was a really cool car!

I had a 1984 Fiero. It looked like this. Haha.

Is this a trend for the the foreseeable future? Is everything old, new again? Seems like a few companies seem to think it's time to bring back the 80's. What's your take on all this?

Like, but yeah, the pointy bits are a little funky.
The 80s did have its moments (charm) but there are some things that should be left behind, like neon colors, I liked the angular head stocks over the old fashion HS that look like a ballerinas foot attached to the neck. I'm sort of surprised that not 1 company has tried to evolve that sharp explorer type HS into something more updated.
