It won't be it for the show because they announced season 5 will happen. They are ending next week with this 10 episodes, and will start up again in the fall with another 10. So we don't have to wait over a year which is cool. A shorter break between each series of 10 this year.

Did anyone catch the nods between Bjorn and Ragnar after Torvi killed Erlander?? I think they both knew Erlander was going to try to kill Bjorn, especially after Torvi identified the ring Bjorn took off the berserker dude. So Bjorn says all those nice things to Torvi, telling her how strong she is, and that he was attracted to her because he saw a wildness in her. He pours it all on thick, knowing it is all she has wanted to hear, from him or any man for that matter. So that when the time came, she would chose to kill Erlander instead of Bjorn. Now neither of them have to do it, and Torvi did it for them, to save her son and because she feels like of the two men, Bjorn respects her more.

I wonder if the whole reason he goes back to get Torvi after his experience in the wilderness, is to figure out if the berserker was connected with Horik's family. Very clever!

Yeah, I caught that too. I rewinded twice to double check. I was thinking the same thing you were, sort of. I thought about it a long time after I watched it, trying to figure it out.

I thought the head nod was a 'yep, he's dead and he's the one who wanted me dead'. Interesting angle on your thoughts. That makes sense too.
I don't think he's as attracted to Torvi as he made it it to be that night, but he did it for the reasons you mentioned.

After Roland agreed to let Charles ask his sister, remember when Charles whispered to him about one more thing?

I don't even think they are brother and sister as I seem to remember a sex scene between those two. Well, unless they are into that kind of stuff.

Still, I think the one more thing Charles asked was for Roland to kill Rollo. I don't think Charles trusts Rollo.

Me too I watch it on History Channel .com. But I do go to You Tube afterwards and look for next weeks previews. I'm also on the FB page and they announced they got signed on for season 5 there. I don't think the splitting up of these two block of 10 episodes is considered more than one season.

Yes. It pans across the bed, and you see a person. The person rolls over towards the camera, and it is Roland.
Roland is angling for control, and I think he'll kill whoever he needs to for that.
Gisla doesn't like him, so I don't think that is going to end well.

Me too. If it continues on in this direction, I'll drop off from watching it.
I've never seen Game of Thrones, but I know it is widely popular. TV shows like to copy each other, so I can totally see the Vikings producers following behind the other show.
When you try and stretch a single season out to 20 episodes, I suppose you have to add more fluff.
The show is great and successful based on the first three seasons. I get everyone wants to make money, but don't try and milk it out so much.

The preview for episode 10 looks great.
Halfdan takes an arrow to the chest in one quick scene. Maybe the end for him?
Then we still have the unresolved issue of Harald proclaiming himself king of Norway. The relationship between him and Ragnar is already shaky, but since they both want to conquer France, they are working together for now.
Whatever happens between Rollo and Ragnar, then the score between Harald and Ragnar/Bjorn will need to be settled.

I am not going to discuss the finale until our mountain time, and west coast friends see it. But...WOW!! So many angles and it looks as if some story lines are improving.

Wow, okay just about at the end of this episode, wow....I didn't expect any of that! But please.....where is Lagertha???? I'll wait until I see the chatter commence don't want to spoil anything but that whole thing was quite a surprise!

The first half of that episode had my stomach in knots so bad, I lost my appetite and let the pizza I ordered go cold. That was awesome! Vikings how I remember it.

I don't like the fast forward. There are a ton of unanswered questions. The three boys, I don't like them as adults.

I'm with you @sagagirl, where the thunder is Lagertha?

Who's going to step out of the crowd and challenge Ragnar? I say it's Aslaug. Ragnar isn't done as king. Bjorn has his own plans.

Is Rollo letting the Vikings row away going to cost him? I thought he may get called out for letting them live.

I still like Ragnar the best, but dang he looked bad in the scene where he's getting high and Lagertha is trying to talk strategy with him.

I'm still trying to make the connection with the scenes that kept switching over to the seer. That prophecy, something about a bear. Is Bjorn the bear?

That battle scene made me jumpy also. I'm preparing to watch it again, and I expect the same to happen.

I fear Lagertha is a goner. That blade was 3" wide and went in just north of her ticker. I know they showed her afterward, but she was motionless. If she survives after that poke, I'll scream at my screen. I love the character, the actress that plays her, and her part in the storyline(s), but that's a fatal wound. Yes, there have been others injured as bad who lived, but I don't see how that is survivable.

Isn't that the biggest time jump of the series so far? The other major jump was only like 4 years. This one is more like 10-12 years.

And Ivar's eyes are freaky. I know it won't happen, but I wouldn't mind one bit if he got ran over by a horse in the next batch of episodes.

What?? I totally missed Roland and his sister being strangled?? I also don't remember Lagertha talking strategy with Ragnar? She was standing behind him but she didn't say anything. I gotta re watch it. I was in knots too Mike. Gawd it was like the old days!

Those scenes with the Seer were painful, it was like he was feeling the defeat, the pain, and the death of his people. I watch on my computer, and connection in the wilds of New Mexico where I live is worse than the 90s. I am going to have to go to a cafe in town some where and re watch it.

On the Vikings Facebook page there is a trailer for the next 10 episodes and Lagertha is alive!! Seems like she wants to be queen of Kattegat. I'll try to post it here so you all can watch it.

Also there is a scene in there of Ragnar giving Ivar a pep talk. In real history Ivar the Boneless is a serious bad ass! He becomes king of the Northern part of Europe for a time. He also is said to have avenged his father in Northumbria. They concoct a way to strap him to a horse and he goes into battle!!

It was a huge jump! It threw me when Ragnar was walking around at first! Kattegat has grown!! But it will help move the whole thing forward, things were getting stuck a bit. I think Aslaug has become an alcoholic and an ego maniac. She needs to go! I saw a trailer for the next 10 episodes and it looks like Lagertha might oust Queen Aslaug, we'd all love that! Lagertha lives she is in the trailer!

Ivar has his fathers eyes! I bet it is contact lenses but I bet they did that to imply that Ivar is actually the son most like his father, despite his physical limitations. Ivar goes on in real history to be fierce as a warrior. Look him up on Google. He is badass!! He ain't gonna get killed off if Hirsch sticks to history.

I am so glad Lagertha is back.
That quick scene of Rollo saying part of him is still Viking is great.
He always looked so conflicted battling Ragnar. From letting them sail away in defeat to the awkward look on his face as he was celebrated by the French for his victory.
Rollo and Bjorn fighting together?? What's that all about??

I need to watch that clip five or six more times.

Alright, I spent the last 10 minutes watching that clip in slow motion, pausing, and rewinding.
We see a scene with Bjorn and another guy, a new character. A few frames later, it looks like a blood eagle ceremony and Lagertha is pulling a bloody knife out of a man who looks just like that guy Bjorn was talking to.
Torvi is still around, so it will be interesting to see where her storyline goes.
Floki saying he no longer knows who he is, interesting.
Then we see Floki fighting side by side with Ivar.
I can't wait to see how and why Rollo reunites with Bjorn,
It looks like the Vikings return to Wessex, which will make the otherwise boring Ecbert/Wessex storyline interesting to me again.
I'm sure I missed something, so time to take a break then watch it a few more times on a bigger screen. I was watching from my mobile phone with a 4" screen.

Here's my crazy prediction...
I think Rollo is going to die, then his wife, Gisla, will take Bjorn as her husband.
This fulfills the seer prophecy of a princess crowning a bear.

The actor who plays Rollo is leaving the show anyway, so there's his exit.
