My personal "go to" amp is a GK700RB/112 combo that has the 4/5 button and enough EQ control of its own that I don't have any trouble finding a sweet spot.
Neither - never saw the need.
I have found little to no info on the EA HPF. The manual mentions the amp has it, but there is no info on the frequencies or what the adjustment range is. I have not been able to make it work as well as the FDeck. They make a great amp, but give very little info in the manual or on their website. I already had the FDeck, so just use it instead. I know it works well. That’s interesting because that EA is supposed to be the ticket. At least in UB circles anyway.
Thank you @Kro.Just a little visual for that 4-5 string button coming from a 700/1001RB-ii preamp. I've posted a similar chart previously with the knobs at noon settings, but I think that comparing both 4- and 5- string settings when the amp is set for all intents and purposes "flat" for each makes more sense in this instance. See below.

Really? Like right after my tuner? I would have thought otherwise. Like what if my effects add back in a boatload of low frequencies that I don't want? Or what if the HPF signal doesn't trigger my effects in the same way it used to? Maybe I'm worried for nothing?
Very true. I don't know whether it's on or not - i think its default is 40 Hz though. There's at least one piece of gear you have listed in your profile that has a verified HPF (per earlier in this thread) built in...![]()
Hi Kro! can you explain how to make these graphics? I'm thinking in analize all my stuff (pedals, head,...)Just a little visual for that 4-5 string button coming from a 700/1001RB-ii preamp. Hi Adam! are these settings available without engaging the switch? The Source Audio aftershock has a hpf you can apply to it accessible through the editor.
Low pass also if that’s your flavor.

Be absolutely positive that you do not measure the output of any bridged amp (including most class D amps) without a proper ground isolation device... if you were to connect the laptop/computer interface to the speaker out, the minus terminal is not at ground and the changes are that you will destroy a perfectly good laptop or interface... as well as possibly your amp.I used TrueRTA. Pretty awesome tool. Version with highest resolution is like $99, but for somebody as curious as me, it's money very well spent!
