HPF/LPF list- which do you use or know about?

Question: I have an Ampeg SVT3 Pro that has a parametric eq... Wouldn't cutting the lows at 33hz -12db (max cut) effectively be the same as a HPF? It seems that I've seen one or two of the hpf's mentioned here cutting to -12db anyway. Would that not work? (Or ANY parametric eq for that matter, pedal or amp based.)
It's not the same, the slope is typically shallower and unlike a true shelf, a bandpass filter (like what you are describing) affects the signal equally on both sides of the center point.

The HPFs you seen referenced actually roll off at a slope of 12dB per octave, not 12dB max cut.

I've built a few...not hard, and I wanted higher headroom. I was going to build one into my PF-500, but found it offered little improvement. (Mine was 36db/octave @ 30Hz.) In our band, we use a trigger on the kick, triggering a nice kick model in an Alesis drum box. I run that through a Peavey Kosmos. I experimented with that HPF on the output of the Kosmos (which has an octave below which I use) and it worked wonders...without changing the sound...just the sub frequency excursion of the speaker. I then put it in the Kosmos hardwired to the sub output.

I use HPF's a lot. I have a few electric guitars with Fishman Power Bridges and the vibrato ones thump loudly. A HPF greatly diminishes the thump while retaining the acoustic low end. I Either use an Fdeck or one of my steeper DIY's.
 
In search for a perfect HPF for myself, I made a list of preamps/DIs which include the HPF function. Let me share it with you. I am leaving dedicated HPFs (FDeck, Broughton, Vong, Thumpinator) aside.

Below, I am sharing a reply re slope of filters on AC-Driver and PZ-DI from Radial Eng.:

"The Low-Cut control on the AC-Driver features a single order 6dB/octave high pass filter, with a variable range from 0Hz-300Hz. The Lo-Cut control on the PZ-DI features a 2nd order high pass filter with a slope of 12dB/octave, with a variable range from 5Hz-500Hz"
 
Another user of the Broughton Audio HPF/LPF, adjustable pedal. Love it - very useful.

Also the F-deck.

Previously used the Fishman Dual Parametric DI which was not a real HPF/LPF but was able to achieve similar function - really useful box for upright IMO. (Does require AC power.)

Also in the 'sort of' category, a Stellartone pedal which is a LPF in as much as tone pots are - but with greater variability. Kind of cool that it's passive and requires no power at all.

The only effect I have is a Zoom B3n, it has a filter update called Low EQ with variable HPF 20-640htz, it works ok but you need to add it to each patch or sound as required, bit of a PITA.
Might need to get a Broughton always on I think.
Can't get F-Deck in the lucky country :rollno:

Don't know how it works, but the buttons are marked like this:
HPF: 200Hz-2000Hz
LPF: 100Hz-1000Hz
From the owner's manual:
"HPF: dUg traditionally used graphic EQ to eliminate all frequencies under 700 Hz. ThisHigh Pass Filter, calibrated at a standard -3dB drop, yields dUg’s preferred setting ataround 1200 Hz.
LPF:Low Pass Filter, corner frequency drop -3dB. For dUg, the preferred LPF setting is between 200-400 Hz. Note: When solely in the Bottom channel, LPF is bypassed"

ROCK ACOUSTIC If you need to amplify an acoustic guitar over a loud electric band especially where using stage monitor speakers, there may be little or no point trying to amplify the bass end of that acoustic instrument since it could be drowned out by Electric Bass Guitar and Bass Drum and may be trying to feedback at lower volume levels than where an acoustic guitar is likely to be audible. The Rock Acoustic setting allows the shimmer of Acoustic Guitar Chords with a limited lower frequency content to deliver a useful sound with a minimum possibility of feedback.Guitar: This setting is also the recommended starting point for the following Instruments with standard “E” tunings: 12 String, Electric and Nylon Strung Guitars, Resophonic Guitars and Lap Steel Guitars.
BASS: This setting applies to all instruments producing Bass such as Double Bass.

I can't find anyone here who posted about HOME - Euphonic Audio

[Invalid or Expired Link Removed] : It isn't very clear to me how are the settings, per the manual I think that are: 2 internal 3 positions slide switches, (one for each channel): 25Hz-50Hz-80Hz, 6db per octave slope.
