If you could only have two…

To answer the question:

1 - Fender MIJ Mustang. I love this thing, it's been my #1 for about 15 years now.
2 - Cort Steinberger copy. A gift from my late parents almost 40 years ago. Sentimental reasons aside, it sounds great. (Non-stock pickups.)

I'd sure miss the various others I own, but those would be my two.

I only have 3 basses total. All have different passive Bartolini pickups in them and all have 3 different sounds I like.

One would be my ‘84 fretted Jazz. I’ve sold the others because I just kept coming back.

Between the fretless Jazzes, I can’t decide. I flip back and forth. The white MOP gets that nice old school R&B thump (LaBella Lo Tensions) and the black MOP get a more truer Jazz tone. (TI Flats) Lots of zing and mwah. I’m so confused! Can’t decide which is the only one! :wacky:
