Im torn bad I want a tone x pedal really bad but the only way I can realistically fund one atm is by selling or trading my mesa subway di+ and I know I'd really want to be able to do captures of it before I sold or trade it.

Real quick - for my purposes, I would also need to purchase the "ToneX Capture" device assuming nobody has modeled my amplifier yet, is this correct?I’m thinking about pulling the trigger on one of these as well. A huge part of “my sound” is from my amp, but that setup barely fits in my car and is very heavy. I’d also love to be able to send that sound to FOH or into a DAW/console from my pedalboard. So I figure I could use this to “capture” that tone, and then any extra stuff in the library is just icing on the cake - am I correct in my assumption that such an application is where the ToneX shines? I don’t have the budget for something like a Kemper or QC.
Cheers!
EDIT: it appears this doesn’t have a balanced/XLR output, which I guess is fine but may necessitate the addition of a Direct Box, right?
I have most of the profiles from Amalgam (For 'Geetar') and it's insane how good they are - I am crossing fingers and toes that he will eventually release bass profiles, as they will without a doubt blow anything else right off the field.
FYI, Karlis (Amalgam Audio) is looking for one more beta tester for first set of Tonex captures for bass guitar: "The player needs to have a solid background in bass guitar and a good understanding of what works best in a mix and band situation for bass." And, of course, you need to be a Tonex user.
