iOS Bass Players Thread #6 - World Domination

Just finished my first song recorded entirely with Auria. I used a lot of stuff such as DM1, JamUp, Animoog, DrumOn, iMini, etc. I still can't find a nice electric guitar tone, maybe it's because my guitar sucks or it's just me.

I'm quite satisfied with the recording process, I think Auria still needs some improvement when working with Audiobus and other apps.

Anytune pro+ is on sale for 4.99

This is a great program. It is the best answer I have found for playing along with iTunes tracks. It plays nice with all of the emulation apps and you can manage the relative volume and also tune the track to you and save those settings. No audiobus or inter app audio needed, it manages the music output volume independent of device volume.

Gotcha. Just something that caught my eye and was wondering.

Spent the morning setting up new patches in Jamup, now that I have the entire collection of amps and effects. The sale was a really nice surprise, so I bought the last two bundles that I needed. Had a bunch of really cool new stuff to play with.

You guys see this yet?

Color me giggity.

It's a doorknob Rip!! :)

First I got the free version, then the 2 bass expansions when the were 1/2 off a few months ago.

A while ago XT Pro was on sale so I got Pro and an expansion. That allowed me to dual amp (with Audiobus) the free version+expansions and Pro with one expansion.

Yesterday I picked up the other expansion and the effects pack for 1/2 price.

IMO, I have about the best iOS rig I can get, until Bias comes out for the phone/touch screen.

Can we use anything in the boutique pack that's better then the expansions?

I noticed that an octiver and a few others aren't in any packs, too. If I was to buy one or two effects, what would they be? Do they have a better chorus or processor?

Really, there's too much stuff already. I could spend decades playing with the combinations I have now. :)

I started on the free version of Jamup, and have gradually expanded it to the full app. I now, as of last night, have all effects and amps available, including the Whammy pedal.

I don't bother with dual amping, because for me the only way I would use it is for distortion, and several of the OD pedals allow a clean/distorted blend. I normally just run a main bass sound, and add effects as needed for each song.

Spent about an hour today practicing with Jamup, and I think I've finally got a AD-200 tone I like.

I personally can't wait for BIAS for iPhone. I have a feeling that the little something I'm missing in my tone will be found by tweaking BIAS.
