I'm looking for a modulation pedal while I patiently wait for my Xerograph Deluxe. Does anyone know of YouTube, SoundCloud, etc., examples of Xerograph Deluxe paired with exceptionally good analog bass modulation? My current order is tuner> Empress Bass Comp > Broughton SV Pre > Octabvre > Doom 2 > (future) Xerography Deluxe > Broughton Messenger v2.

You can hear an Octabvre MKII, Doom 2 (original voicing), and Xerograph Deluxe feeding a Broughton Carina phaser in this example:

The Broughton Carina is a good analog phaser. But the Chase Bliss Wombtone Billy Strings Signature is even better. I have a Wombtone on both my boards and it's what I recommend you get for analog modulation.

I prefer phaser for my modulation, but if phaser isn't your thing, then grab an analog chorus:
  • Iron Ether Polytope v2
  • Providence Anadime Bass Chorus
  • Chase Bliss Warped Vinyl MKIII
  • JAM Pedals Waterfall (bass version)

Looking forward to getting my Wombtone BS very soon. Selling my Wombtone MKII was one of my two pedal-selling regrets. The other was my Octabvre MKII, so if you were ever thinking of letting yours go, please let me know. (I’ve tried the II and III together and I actually prefer the II.)

Not a chance :) The MKIII is fantastic, but the MKII is the best octave pedal I have played.

waiting on the frantabit I ordered in early December; three months is a sadly long lead time when you’re really looking forward to experimenting with a pedal!

soon, my grubby fingers will get to tweaking sounds… the expression capabilities should be interesting to mess around with as well.
