Iron Ether Subterranea

neh. **** compressors.

no offense to anybody that loves them, i just never saw the point and i've had people that love them go into great detail. just any area of effects that never interested me.

post recording compression to make things fit together nicely? yeppers please as long as it's a sound engineer that knows what the hell he's doing.

but on a board? nopers. nope nope nope nope NOPE.

BECAUSE I DON'T LIKE THEM. MAKES ME RIGHT AND EVERYBODY ELSE WRONG. BWAHAHHAHAHAHHHAHHAHHH.

...... or something.

Compressor sell off in the Classy's ;)

Yep, chatted with Tay-digs. Fix is basically done and waiting on beta testing.

Placed my order this morning for a custom-finish SubT. ETA is currently at the 3 - 5 week standard.

As my bass-brother Behndy would say...."I am EXCITE"

How are you guys running yours for a really synth heavy, not so distorted sound? And without clipping your head? I'd like to see the way some of you are setting yours and how low the dials are possibly. Please post pics of your settings if you can, thanks!

I have all the volumes on my Sub-T set WAY low. All of them below noon for sure.

This thing has an absurd amount of gain on tap!

I like it into a fixed filter- for example- running into a Proton with its sensitivity at its lowest, such that it wont 'sweep' , with the octosynth voice on 'pulse wave' sounds real nice.
I am working on a 'synth eq filter' pedal to mate with fuzzes and the SubT.. if this interests anybody I can post the layout (knobs) to show the idea. once I get it working I will post the schematic and some layouts all over the place

Hey guys, please forgive me if this question has been asked already in this thread but how does this pedal react to active basses? After reading through the bulk of this thread I'm chomping at the bit to get this pedal....

Wes its the **** man

it works fine with active basses; the 'bleed' issue can be aggravated by noise being boosted, but it does not matter in a mid song situation; I will also mention that taylor has expressed theyare almost done with the fix ( but again it sincerely has not come up noticeable in anything beyond the living room)

I was just testing out the Subterranea with my new active bass. Zero issues for me. For that matter I don't think I've ever had an issue with an active bass and any type of octave pedal.

Either way the SubT sounds great with active or passive basses, at least IME.
