Iron Ether Subterranea

I'm really not upset about it taking so long. The main thing is I've bought other pedals to tide me over. I ordered a SubT and Xero Deluxe. Since I ordered I have purchase a 3 Leaf Proton and an MXR Bass Octave Deluxe. I think the Proton will still be relevant once I get the Xero, but not so sure the octave pedal will be once I get the SubT.

I know Taylor has gone through some rough times the last 1/2 so I'm being patient but also getting a bit anxious at the same time. Hopefully the wait will be over soon.

I feel the same way.

I've repurchased a BOD to cover my octave needs which I had sold anticapating the arrival of the SubT.

My anxiety is mainly knowing that the SubT will complete my board(hopefully). I can't wait to hook it up and situate my pedal board completely. I've bought many different items and tried many different setups. It's going to be great to think that my board is finally complete!!!

Complete your pedal board? I predict something new will come along and GAS will get the best of you. :)

I bought a Pedaltrain PT-2 because I don't like reaching my foot over other pedals and now I'm considering getting another. And I haven't really been into effects all that long.

The problem is that there just isn't anything like it. I wouldn't know what to get in the meantime that would accomplish half of what I am getting the SubT for in such a small footprint... I ordered in november too, so I guess i am quite far back on the list :( Taylor has been reluctent at giving ETAs recently. I am not worried about my money or not getting it at all, but I am worried I won't get it before the gigs where I wanted to use it in march...

Closest comparison would be an OC2 with the synth mod. I know it's not the same but better than nothing. I have the SubT that I snagged used because I'm a bandit, but I still keep the mxr bod around because of its different character and I do parallel blending and sometimes want separate octave tones. Gets FAT.

We're almost neighbours (I'm in the Geneva/Nyon area). If you don't receive yours shortly I can lend you mine - just shoot a pm.

Honestly I've tried many different types of effects and brand names. I recently bought 4 Source audio pedals(Manta,OFD,Orbital and Dimension) SA's Hub, a Decibel eleven Switch Dr and I can truly say I am very satisfied with the results. I've almost sold all of the pedals I'm not using. So once I get the SubT My board will be ready for the riggers' of the road and totally finished!!! The only thing not on my board, besides the SubT, is a compressor... I am playing at louder volumes lately and one may come in handy. Lol! Maybe you're right!!!

I'm tracking fretless all day today, so I recorded my morning warm-up jam with the SubT serving as an octaver. You guys interested?

(^^^ my thoughts exactly! Thanks in advance M Sterling!) meant for post with Arnold!

I love that so many people say that the SubT is the pedal that will complete & finish their pedal board, as if in 2 years they won't change it again, and suddenly have two boards. I'm not so far from that statement either... I plan for the SubT to fill a void that no other can. All of the other voids are filled as well, but this won't be the last board revision ever, in fact this board revision counts on it changing.

GAS management is achieved from having options. Why live fixed in one perspective, when you can have many!!

A finished board, to me, constitutes having everything you need for a particular situation. I did say it in jest but for my current originals band the SubT will, in fact, cover all my needs for this band. I play in a hard rock cover band where I don't even bring my pedal board. I have a tuner in my rack and its good to go. I'm sure if I were to join a different band I would find a reason/excuse for different pedal needs. I always deserve the right to give in to gas and spontaneously buy something I'm intrigued with. I've been doing it for the last 5/6 years. I'm sure something new will come out and I'll be intrigued. Who knows Taylor may have something totally killer that'll be ready before I even get my SubT. It wouldn't surprise me one bit.
